And as a fellow fan-boy of RUSH, and a fan-boy of Pink Floyd, I would be ashamed if 10 minutes is the longest song Ive listened to. Hell, I dont know how many times I have listened to "Dark Side of the Moon" front to back.
Heh, that's why I said "some of you". I know people who think 5 minutes is long. They can't fathom how I can listen to something that's 8, 10, 15 minutes or longer =P
Xanadu is one of my favorite Rush songs. I only have 3 of their albums though. My other favorite Rush songs are Freewill, YYZ and Fly by Night. I really wish they would have another concert, I missed the chance to see them when I was in Dallas one time.
The album version of Xanadu is over 11 minutes, but this video has had about a minute shaved off the beginning, so it clocks in at 9:52. It's probably the longest thing some of you have ever listened to...
You have no idea how much that made me laugh. :p But then only ten minutes? That's short when you consider what I normally listen to. I mean one of my favorite piano concertos... the three movements equal over half an hour.
Anyway, it's not really my thing. I did listen to the whole thing, but I think one time through is enough for this piece. ; ) And even if I didn't really like it, I do like the exposure since music is my career after all. Heh.
