My brother liked that show. He was taping it... then there was the infamous night of ... *insert dramatic music here* ... President Bush (the first one) throwing up on the Japanese Prime Minister! Of all the networks, only the one that carried the Flash kept going on and on and on about it. My brother never got that episode complete because of the show being cancelled.
Recently while perusing DVDs in our local Beans & Noodles, I saw the box set of the entire series. I showed it to my brother. He said it wouldn't be right without Bush barfing on the Japanese guy...
Gosh, Danny Elfman is everywhere... I was around at that time and yet I don't have memories of a live action Flash, if I did see it I must not have retained it well. I definitely remember the animated Batman and Superman though.
Hehe . . . so much Flash hate . . . when Red sees this, she's gonn' kill some folks (she loves The Flash quite a bit, you see).
I've seen bits of the show when I catch it on Showcase now and then on TV. Seems neat - feels a little overly epic for Flash, but y'know . . . it's all good.
I wasn't born then...but it looks...interesting...? The Flash always scared me. Seriously. I agree with Katana, his power kind of sucks. [laughs] Danny Elfman rocks, though.
I totally agree that Flash has jack for powers. It's one thing if you're Quicksilver or Daphne... but seriously? Being the Flash is almost like being Apache Chief. Come on.
I always felt bad for The Flash. He's like...an awesome character, but kinda got the shaft on powers. Speed? That's it? So he must have to work out a lot to get that whole "action PUNCH!" thing.
