I like the ad idea too. But does it have to look like the World owner was the one who put it there? And what happens when there are lot of ads?

I never thought the ad feature would actually fuel this much debate. I'm cool with the feature; anyway, it's just a little text hyperlink. But Dagger IX1 has a point that the ad should be placed at the left side.

And when you consider that there used to be Google ads in myOtaku before, I don't think ads are that much of a big deal

Maybe I should review the news regarding this feature. I have a feeling I missed one very important thing while reading the news.

Agreed. Advertising a personal blog should not be allowed. But things like Movie Sign, the Anime Pulse World, etc are good.

Generally, the ads are not too bad, imo. They're just little links, thank goodness.
But, I do get annoyed at self-promotion. I think a line should be drawn as to what kind of stuff can become an ad-link.

I agree. ^^ I think if it's an ad that doesn't have anything to do with the site overall, having the option to remove it is a good thing.

Chase, my boy, ever the optimist. ^.^ I mostly share your opinion.

I think the idea is good. However I think where the ad's are actually located is the problem. I think it would be more fitting in it's own box on the front page. Under the current sponsor links. That way people get exposure and our worlds aren't cluttered with Ad links we don't really want.

Worlds are people's personal space so allowing that kind of ads is kind of like letting some stranger stick a sign up on your lawn and you can't remove it. ._.

I don't mind it because it's pretty unobtrusive--however, I think it should be placed on the left side of the bar (to create a greater separation between it & the World creator's name). And it would be nice if premium members had the option to turn it off.
