    @Allamorph:

    I just think its an example of how continually ridiculous the world is becoming.

    And yes, I saw local news about a rally here in Florida, including a man dressed as Patrick Henry (I think that was it) yelling to the crowd about freedom and stuff.

    What flummoxed me were some of the slogans people used: "An armed society is a polite society" and "The Second Amendment comes from God." Talk about a pile of crapola.

    The media latch on to anything these days and beat the dead horse.

    I couldn't possibly care less about this story, heh. I'm still laughing at how leaders of my political party put together a Gun Appreciation Day because of this recent legislation proposed.

    Have you heard the soundbites that came out of that? Small wonder people think we're all crazy.

    It's a wonder why airing grievances as relatively unimportant as that get so much airtime in the media. Utterly mindblowing!

    I blame that lady who sued over the hot coffee she spilled on herself (like you cite in your signature). I think she started this whole mess. >>;

    I find that such things fail to surprise me anymore. There are so many disputes with fast food joints these days, I just find myself shaking my head.

    Hot coffee is hot, yet they still won the lawsuit

    @bellpickle:

    Its possible that the loaves start off as 12 inch before cooking and shrink a bit in the process. Still though, its a waste of energy to argue over one inch. And you're right, 11 inches is more than enough for me. I can't usually finish one of their footlongs in one sitting.

    lol, footlong does have a better ring to it than eleven-inch long.

    I guess people feel they've been cheated? Honestly, I'm alarmed that eleven inches of sandwich is apparently not enough for people anymore. What are their stomachs made of??

    I guess their lives are extremely boring, so they feel they have to stir things up.
