Fortunately the freezer was mostly empty. We hardly ever used it anyway. But yeah, dad emptied most of a can of Lysol and has the back door open for ventilation.
That happened to my family too one time, having the freezer go out. I can't remember exactly what happened, but it all ended badly: I'm convinced I've sensed the worst smell in history.

OH NO!!!!! Crikes, an entire freezer's worth of stuff, just dead like that . . . that sucks so bad. BLahhhhh.

Oh God. I think a giant freezer full of rotten food probably smells worse than a litter box.
