I know the feeling; I've had to backup some files from a hard drive that's giving me problems. I think I'll have to wipe it clean and start over with it. Ah, the fun of technology. (At least we learn something new whenever something goes wrong with it, right?)
I've been using my one dictionary to prop the thing up for a while now. What I REALLY need is a new battery altogether. I think it's got about seven minutes of fully-charged-and-in-use life left. Battery lasted pretty long for how hard I run this thing though, so I'm not totally devastated.
Kind of reminds me of my laptop. I hadn't touched it in a while and when I started using it again, it wouldn't connect to the internet properly even though it showed the connection was working. A couple of weeks later, it worked fine.
It's okay. *patpat* My laptop battery is going into full asshat mode by overheating extremely quickly... like, shutting down on me four times within the last three days without allowing one of those system restore dinguses. Now the laptop's propped up on two dictionaries for ventilation. o3o It's what I get for going with the default battery option.
