Hey, if your car gets more than 18mpg, it doesn't qualify...
I read an article that while 5 of 5 traded in were American, 4 of the 5 cars being purchased were foreign (aka, Japanese). No shit. So now I think they're putting in measures so that the cars have to be American or something. Maybe, don't quote me on this.
Hm... that's really odd that your car wouldn't qualify. I haven't heard of any sort of problems up here with the program. Then again, some dealerships are taking just about every car brought to them even if they don't specifically qualify and have their own set of clunker-cash on top of the government-sponsored one. I'm sure that if we brought in my dad's beat-up Chevy S-10 pickup we'd get something... and that even has a dropped transmission, a bajillion miles on it and smells of steel shavings/grease.

Oh, Cash for Clunkers is still going on? I remember hearing a lot of ruckus about that program running out of money or something. It seems pretty popular, though, so I'm glad it's still around.
