Yes, I did read the manga. I finally watched the anime series, because I wanted to be up to date on Brotherhood, and I knew the anime was very different from the manga (but I was still blown away by how many things they changed!) But as for Brotherhood, Kat best summed it up with "It looks cool, but it's nothing we haven't seen before." And watching the first few episodes, it's very similar to the manga...
And my aunt made the suggestion of making a smaller one, and I shot it down.

You shouldn't skip Brotherhood. Remember in the original when it took 20 episodes to get origin stuff outta the way?
It took 5.
And the fight scenes were way better. You should commit to the Brotherhood!
