That's not completely true, because that is like taking freedom from someone. Maybe banning specific fan art from some sites, but you can not taking something that people draw no matter how much it looks like something, it still is not the same and if you haven't published it, it can not be taken.
As well as for fanfics, taking the right people to have free speech and writing. Everyone has right to write it and put on internet for making fun to itself and others, as well even making profit money but only on personal basis.
So to my logic, that is completely not true. Fan dubs could be if used the original material and put on net, especially if they make profit from it.
But other than that, I don't see what this other would.

They have to mean only specific types of fanwork can't be put on certain sites. I mean, if fanwork was completely banned, wouldn't that mean the end of this very site?

if they get rid of fanfiction, and take down fanfiction.net, i will fricken kill someone. i'm like a druggie for fanfiction. i seriously hope this is just a rumour.

I know! A lot of videos I like were fan made but they were deleted from Youtube :C
then my friend gave me a link about the new Copyright law and the petition against it
I don't know if it really affects fan art
