How Nekomata Found Her Friends Part 1

We just moved into our new home. I didn't like the house. It was my Dad's choice. But he was never really home. So it never mattered to him where my mother and I lived.
"Mom I hate this!" I sputtered.
"Well, you'll just have to deal with it." she said sternly.
My mother and I never really got along...We both liked the same things though.
"Why do I have to be in this human form? Why can't I be the same as my last form!?" I asked loudly.
"I told you. We don't want people to know who we are. Besides I think you look beautiful Nekomata." she explained calmly.
The only way I could ever be like my father is that we both can get angry fast.
"I hate my name. Call me Neka! Nekomata sounds Italian." I said, trying to calm down.
"I thought you liked Italian food?" she questioned.
"I do, but we are not in Italy." I replied gritting my teeth.
She didn't reply. To tell you the truth, I had no idea where we were moving. We finished bringing in the boxes into the crudy old home. I was now standing in my room. No wallpaper. No carpet. Just a small dusty room. With a only a bed and a dresser with a mirror. I unpacked my clothes and put them in my dresser. I looked at myself in the mirror.
"I really don't look that bad" I thought. I looked down at my hips, "I'm a little too curvy though..."
"Hmph, admiring yourself in the mirror, eh?" a voice came from the doorway.
I spun around to find a boy about the same age as me, he had silver spiked hair, light blue eyes, a rainbow jacket, and ripped up shorts. But what I noticed the most was the goggles hanging around his neck.
"Who are you?" I finally made out.
"I'm Houkou. I saw the truck and I decided to help you guys move in." he explained. There was a certain accent on him I couldn't place. I stared at him for a moment, comparing us. He was laid back, and seemed to go with the flow. But he did have muscle, I'll give him that. Then I thought of myself, I was where all black, except for a white robe I had on.
"Oh, um thanks." I said nervously.
He sensed the nervousness and blushed, "Um, I'm going to be hanging out with some of my pals, do you want to join us?"
"Sure. Um, what time?" I asked.
"Around 8pm" he confirmed.
A few hours after he left, I laid down on my bed. "I have a weird feeling about him..." I thought before I drifted off to sleep...
