There are actually snowflakes in front of the background as well, but they aren't noticeable since it looks like Jade was extracted and downscaled whereas the background wasn't, making it all blend together. So adding some extra, smaller snowflakes in front of the background to match the ones in front of Jade would indeed look nice, I think.
