I THINK if you open it up from the FRONT side just up from the keyboard; you can tighten your screen up. But I do warn you- HALF THE TIME I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M DOING. So be careful. If your computer still has a warrenty on you might want to send it in; way safer.
Uhhhh- if its a PC and not a MAC than you either A) get a uber small screw driver and take teh back cover off(remember where the screws go!) or B) get a screw driver and a butter knife and pop it open from teh front. I'm not sure I'd have to SEE the somputer to really help you. Go with plan A) forst though. *laughs* Its your best shot.
Those babies are pretty good heating wise. *grins* the most I had to do with them was put duct tape around the thing that spins so that the disk say flat and the laser could read it properly. *laughs*
It was just the silly xboz 360's. There internal coling fan is set backwards so it sucks alot of dust into the consol. So I cut the top up and opened her up to set a fan on it to blo the dust off; and to cool it down faster. Runs muuuuch beter now!!

You know what's good. How you take all that with laugh and with positive look. :D
And about your monitor... Well I am researching about that now, but for your problem it shouldn't be a big deal. I hope that it is what I think. Just go and try to repair it.^^

Try bringing your broken monitor into a computer repair shop and they might know how to fix it, then the rest will be left for you to repair :3
