YEAH there IS going to be a sequel, hopefully. And I couldn't find a release date, I'm sorry. I will keep an eye out for it, though! I just hope it will be sometime this year, but it will most likely be released sometime next year for those of us in North America. XD
I totally agree with what you said. I really loved the fighting and action scenes between BRS and the Dead Master. They were really unique, but you are right about how a lot of explanations were left out.
I have my own interpretation on it, but maybe that was the point? Sometimes the creators like to leave out certain things so that the viewer can figure everything out for themselves, you know what I mean? On the other hand, maybe the sequel will explain everything?
I hope this Anime is better than the previous BRS Anime and provides more explanation about Black Rock Shooter's connection with her counterpart. The previous one left some concepts not fully explained. Also, I hope that this upcoming Anime will focus more on the action and fantasy and less on the character relationships.
