Chapter 6
Lance walked up the stairs. She felt like she had done this a million times. As she walked across the pavement all off Black*star’s friends surrounded her. She continued to look at the ground with a frown on her face. “I’m not in the mood for this” said Lance. “You’re never in the mood for anything or anyone” said Maka, anger in her eyes. “How could you do this to him?” asked Kid. “I don’t know what you’re talking about” replied Lance. “You should know what you did to him Lance” said Maka lifting Lance up by her jacket collar. “I hate to repeat an answer but I honestly don’t know what you’re talking about” said Lance with a confused look. Maka looked back at Soul. “Is she telling the truth Soul?” asked Maka. “Yeah, she really doesn’t know what we are talking about” replied Soul. Maka set Lance back down on the ground. “Please let me go I’ve had a rough night with the nightmares” Lance said with a frown. The kids that surrounded her stepped apart so that Lance could continue walking. Lance walked into the DWMA still looking at the ground. “I wonder what she was talking about” said Liz. Stein walked up and put a hand on Liz’s shoulder. Liz jumped in fear making Stein chuckle. “She has been having these weird nightmares ever since she came to the DWMA” said Stein. “What kind of nightmares?” said Black*star as he walked up to the group, a frown visible on his face. “The dream starts with her little dull world, eventually you three boys show up and asked to play doctor…” started Stein. Maka stared at Soul angrily but he just shrugged. “She gets scared and tries to run but gets cornered. Black*star whispers that he goes first to dissect her…” said stein. *that explains why she said that I was going to dissect her* thought Black*star. “He cuts her shirt and draws dissection lines on her chest. Then he says you owe me and slices her. Then she wakes up screaming” Stein finishes. “That would be scary” said Liz shaking in fear. “Sis you’re such a scaredy cat” laughed Patti. “These dreams change depending on what group of boys she meets, that’s why she avoids falling for anyone” said Stein. “I thought she liked dissecting things” said Maka. “She isn’t as passionate about it as I am, she dissects boys because she’s scared they’ll get her first” said Stein with a look on his face like ‘how ridicules is that?’ “That would be upsetting if it were me” said Tsubaki. “So that’s why she tried to dissect me in our fight” said Black*star to himself. “I’ve said too much, you kids need to get to class” yelled Stein as he walked through the doors of the DWMA. “Come on guys we should go and apologise to Lance” said Maka.
The group of Kids walked to class and sat in their seats. Black*star watched Lance play Russian roulette with her knife. The girls apologised to Lance and she nodded in recognition. “Class, I’m giving you a break this lesson, do as you wish” said Stein with a sigh. “Are you ok?” asked Black*star. “I’m peachy” said Lance still playing with the knife. She was distracted for a second and accidently cut herself. “Damn it” said Lance looking at her wound. “I got it” said Black*star. He stuck her finger in his mouth to stop the bleeding (Not in a sexual way. In a way when you cut yourself and that’s the first instinct). Lance looked at her desk blushing. Black*star let go and Lance wiped her finger on her singlet. Soul chuckled and Black*star glared at him. Lance went back to playing Russian roulette with her knife. Her finger was bleeding slightly but she didn’t care. *Why does she keep doing that* thought Black*star. “Why are you doing that?” asked Black*star. “I’m bored” replied Lance blankly. “Ok” said Black*star looking at the desk. ~KILL KONG DIE DONG~ “there’s the bell, go have lunch” said Stein walking out of the class room. Lance jumped over the desk and landed at the front of the room. Then she walked to the cafeteria. “I guess she’s still upset” said Kid.
Lance bought her food and walked out to little forest outside the DWMA. She sat under a tree and ate her lunch. *I like being by myself because there is no one to bother you* thought Lance. She felt someone’s presence but when she looked around no one was there. “I swear I can feel someone’s presence” she said to herself. Black*star jumped out of the tree and scared Lance. She pulled her gun out and shot him in the arm. “What the hell did you do that for?” yelled Black*star. “It’s instinct, you spooked me” replied Lance. Black*star sighed and sat down next to Lance. He held his arm in pain. “The pain wears off a assure you” said Lance still eating her lunch. Black*star frowned at her. “Do you hate boys?” he asked. “No, I just think that they are out to dissect me” replied Lance. “You know that only Stein dissects people right?” asked Black*star. “I’ve had a boy attempt to dissect me and that’s why I dissect them” said Lance. Black*star hugged Lance and her expression changed from blank to shocked. “I wouldn’t do that to you, you’re too beautiful to cut” Black*star whispered in her ear. “I have to go” said Lance as she wriggled from Black*star’s grip. “Please don’t leave” he said, a sad look on his face. Lance shook her head and walked off. “Damn it” yelled Black*star, making birds scatter.
Everyone went back to class except for Lance. “Where is Lance?” asked Tsubaki. “She was scared and left, I think” said Black*star as he sat back in his seat. Spirit was in the door way. “Maka, Soul, Kid, Liz, Patti, Tsubaki and Black*star, Shinigami-sama wants to see you” he said.
