Unfortunately, I didn't. I had called 4 days ahead of time to confirm that the interview was set for Friday, but the store manager said that he was already considering 3 other people at the time and didn't think he'd need anymore people to come in. This was the second opportunity to pass me by again. ._____.
Sounds like to me they were looking forward to you leaving and were looking for a way to make sure that you get out as soon as possible, regardless of your two-week notice. They didn't want you to leave on a good note, since they knew they were being totally unfair to you.
I guess even in that time your employers would be scrutinizing everything you do as a way to get you fired since they know that you were leaving anyway. Honestly, they should have been paying more attention to those other two guys and just let you do what you had to do to get through your last few times there. I'm glad your mom seemed to understand what was happening, since you told her~
Exactly! I know sometimes when you start off with your first couple of jobs, they might not be the best ones and sometimes they end up being bad apples, but you just have to pick through those to get to the actual good ones. You won't have to deal with them anymore now that you're leaving this one behind and I bet you're really relived!
Yep. As soon as they found out that I'm leaving, they wanna bother me. Usually, I see at least one of my bosses once or twice a week. Now, they were there all week. While I was working all this week, I was hoping I wouldn't see their damn faces. Damn, they just. won't. leave. me. alone! They're more concerned about me than the other two guys. UGH!!! >_< I told my mother and she was TOTALLY fine with that. She has my back and I appreciated that.
You are so right about that. I deserve a better job where I am more respected. At least, I won't have to see their ugly faces again. Yay.
I've never heard of anyone's boss firing them even after a two-week notice was turned it. Are they even allowed to do that? They should've questioned why you didn't fully do all of your job requirements instead of calling you up and firing you. Then maybe they could've set you up with a warning, so that way you'd still work that last week that you needed to. It's no wonder why they don't have many people working there!
You have the right idea when it comes to looking for a job that not only pays well, but also appreciates your hard work and one that cares about its employees. You deserve more than the crap you went through with this one. Honestly, I'd just say to hell with it and go for that next job you want to get. I really hope you end up getting the next one, since it'll be alot better than this one~
