It would be interesting to see the old school again, I must say. Last time I was there was in high school I think, and everything was sooo little. Crazy how a growth spurt can change perspective lol. I'd be interested to see if any of the teacher I remember were still thre too, probably not, they probably all retired heh.
Capsules are so great. Lots of interesting stuffs in there.
Green day, ha you kids you. That is so cool though that all the little trinkets were still there. Talk about waiting a long time to bring an end to it. But what I nice trip down memory lane. Isn't it great how junk from back then becomes to sentimental.
I'm glad you had a good time there and got to go with some of the old friends.
My second elementary school was an archaic one (I think the main building was built in 1918, they just kept adding on to it) and wouldn't be surprised if they have some sort of thing in years to come. Wish there was some sort of awesome story to tell that would go with it, but unfortunately we didn't have any nifty hiding spots for a time capsule.
The only way I've been leaving my marks as I go along is through drawing, and that's all dependent on having a pencil/marker in my pocket. Which I do. Most times.
Though the idea of being deeply rooted in a place is something I always found interesting, if because that's just not what happened with my family. We're spaced out and haven't been in locations for very long. To return to the same place after decades would be a nice thing.

Wow. That's an awesome story. :O I was also worried for a second that the time capsule wouldn't be there.
