I remember when I worked at the deli, they gave a couple of the stock guys flack about full beards and the one's longer hair. Then one of the managers grew his own beard.

    Go with it.

I'm glad that it seems like your dad is getting better. The doctors being right on top of things is very good. Fathers are really good at scaring the crap out of us sometimes... kinda like payback for all the greys we give them, I suppose.

I'm glad your dad is feeling better. Things like that are always scary. My lips are sealed :)

Unless you try to grow a ZZ Top beard, I don't get why your workplace's dress code is so uppity about facial hair. And technically, it isn't "dress" in the first place.

The family would still freak out over something like that after nearly 39 years?

When I was in college, we were allowed to grow mustaches, but no beards/goatees. It was weird seeing a lot of classmates walking around with lip ferrets just because they were so used to having some kind of facial hair and felt odd without it.

Glad to see your old man is on the right track. Once more to a speedy recovery.

Well then how are you gonna grow Flynn-esque facial hair if the dress code at your work forbids it? What a bummer.

At least it's good to hear your dad is healing. All that soreness and junk should go away eventually; that stuff happens after you've been through something like that, ya know? Here's hoping, anyway.
