Speaking of that things in common part, I finally got off my ass and watched all of Firefly and Serenity over the weekend. I think Malcolm Reynolds is my favorite Nathan Fillion by far. That show should never have died that fast.
Wash's death was both really sad and a harsh reminder that Joss Whedon likes to kill off awesome characters when you least expect it. It was also touching in a weird way how Mal kept those plastic dinosaurs on the dashboard.
But yeah, now I have a whole new awesome show to mine for quotes to use in casual conversation. Thanks for being a Whedon nerd, dude.
