It's a bit surreal that the olympics is here, right here, and right now. Watching it on TV sort of alienates the whole Olympics, but when you think about it-- the events are just happening a few minutes or a few hours away.
I was watching the ceremony at a restaurant, and when the moment of silence came up for the Georgian Luger, everyone was dead silent. It was sad : and I think it could have been prevented. Is it just me, but I feel his death has been disrespected by the media by showing the public footage of the accident so soon after his death?
Yeah, I also have the olympic boner. But because I missed the opening ceremonies yesterday(I was at class), I got bit when the Chicago Blackhawks honored their 6 Olympic participants before tonights game.
Im ready, and my dad totally wants to get the hats the US Olympic team wore to the opening ceremonies.
