I'd say that it depends on the people. If you have some prudish people over, they may not like it, but as long as they're people that can appreciate the novelty of them, then, meh, it's your place! Do what you want with it!
I agree with Miss A. on the pillow case (I love saying that for some reason, hehe), anyway it all depends on the person who sees them and knows your tendencies, yeah. =P
As for miss having time to spare before Christmas thing, I so dearly knows how it feels so this weekend I made sure I had some spare time to put together all stuff for Christmas and make all our traditions happen. Some quality time spent with family and me pets! I've barely seen or talked with people lately due to work, dammit. So it was pretty good but the weekend is almost over and soon I have to go back and I don't want that ;A;
Anyway, hope you have better days at work with less unpleasant people and more nicer, thoughtful and kind ones. And best of luck on getting your computer back!

About the Haruhi pillows... I think it depends on who would see/use them. If they already know of their existence or of your tendencies towards anime, then it's probably fine.
