Welcome to my world.

I'm SomeGuy, 29 years old, residing in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've studied English Literature, Chinese Martial Arts, and am currently pursuing careers in writing - possibly even in the anime industry itself.

And I work for this site.

And you should be watching Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad.
Or watching Ranma 1/2.
Or learning about the Shinsengumi.
Or planning to visit Vancouver, The Best Place On Earth (actual marketing motto).

Here at the "Smallville" page, I have my personal blog where I'll post about anything and everything. If ya need me or otherwise need to know anything from/about me, here's where I'll be.

If you're really looking for my more professional, site-type stuff, you wanna head over my "Metropolis" world.

Epiphany . . .

Alright, so I missed the Colleen Clinkenbeard celebrity chat and that was too bad. Mostly, I just would have asked about Fairy Tail as that's my current thing right now.

Anyway, it turns out this year Vancouver is FINALLY going to have a PROFESSIONAL convention done! Fan Expo Vancouver is gonna be late April, just after Sakura-Con, and well . . . you can tell they have some solid professional money behind it.

Come see the guests:

Adam West and Burt Ward you say? Well then! I guess I'll be shaving my legs again this year . . .

. . . but what's this?

Colleen Clinkenbeard is gonna be there!!!! AHHHH!!

See, had I gotten to the celebrity chat and had I known she was coming to Vancouver . . . ah man, that would have been fun.

Anyway, I guess we'll be doing Fairy Tail for Fan Expo too.

Works for me.

Dude, Fan Expo is gonna be awesome. I'm excited.

Year of the Dragon . . .

Gong Hei Fat Choi, childrens. Much luck and such to ya.

Polling you guys!

Having a bit over two months for a bunch of people to either cut weight, define musculature, or otherwise get into shape before con time in April.

Feasible or no?

So here I am right now, eight forty-one pm...

Buddy scored free tickets through his work. I suppose there are worse ways to spend a Saturday...

Intermission right now. Also,, I am super out of the loop now with wrestling current events. Ah well. At least I know when to go "woooo!"...

Tangled Ever After . . .

Not a dry eye in the theater. So much laughter . . .

Seriously. Soooo much laughter . . . a dangerous level of laughter . . .

. . . why was that only a short?!?!

Also, nice to report that Beauty and the Beast translated quite well to 3D. So the side bonus of watching Tangled Ever After was quite good. Actually, really good, because Beauty and the Beast is perhaps one of the most perfectly made movies ever. Characterization, animation, music, plot pacing . . . just sayin'.

Actually it was even better because I realized something amazing during the movie:

THE BEAST IS TSUNDERE!!!!!

"You-you'll join me for dinner... that's not a request, baka!"

"D-don't misunderstand! I'm not giving you this library because I like you! I just heard you like books and they shouldn't go to waste..."

Bwahahaha . . . cannot un-hear . . .
