using the world for the very first time.. i want to use this space to explore nibblets of thoughts that contribute to the fantasy living inside my head that has nothing to do with my economics studies.. specifically mapping out details of my story "the sound of eternity".. but the name is pretty cheesy so i'll probably change it at some point.

one day it will be a comic, i swear!

Story Name: Sound of Eternity

Genre: shounen ai, fantasy, romance, drama, tragedy

Characters:
- Klyde, king of Septoras in the high mountains. serious, dutiful, kind, emotionally shy.
- Darmien, prince of Narsaelia the forest kingdom. optimistic, mischievious, loyal.
- Truen, Darmien's right hand man. loyal, cunning, quirky, deep with desires.
- Katrias, dauphin of Qaraf the dessert oasis. capricious, jealous, childish, deep attachments.
- Daemien: Darmien's twin brother.
- Laerk: Klyde's justice general. loyal, proud, stubborn, sarcastic.

Summary:
The forest of Narsaelia, the mother of life, is dying. As the sole surviving royal blood of the forest, Darmien must go find the two 'Soloe's Teardrops'that were stolen from his kingdom and return vitality to the land. At the same time, two pockets of oasis have sprung in neighbouring kingdoms. Darmien will visit Septoras, and his right hand man and best friend Truen will investigate Qaraf. There, they discover more than just the truth of their land, but also love and betrayal in a world rife with discrimination and hatred.

Themes:

- gender bias
- social inequality
- economic externalities
- innocence VS sensuality

sensuality

when chasing a partner for sexual reasons, the quickest way to have your desire understood is through explicit dress, explicit actions, and explicit words. Such is 'sexy'. Yet, this direct behaviour feels somehow debased, because it renders us beasts and fails to fully explore the possibilities of human sexuality.

what sets us apart from animals? imagination! thus, implicit dress, implicit actions, and implicit words can create a sexual tension that is unmatched by explicit behaviour. "Kaikan Phrase" knows it well -- virgins have a greater capacity to imagine sexual acts and derive from it than those who have already committed the acts.

a touch of the finger tips, a glance, a smile/smirk -- some may say that it's too innocent, but played the right way it can be damn hot.

i want the two main couples in my story, Klyde+Darmien and Truen+Katrias, to be able to display this discrepancy between innocence and sensuality. The same touches, the same behaviour -- different intentions.

of course, it's only going to be an underlying theme in the bigger picture, but emotional tension and expectations are what i want to keep the characters going. while they deal with other issues lmao.
