That would help a lot! Watermark! Very smart! I don't need to do that tho, 'cuz no one ever stola my art. Well, I don't think at least.
That explains why your art and GinAme's is simalar. He's your fiance. Right? I caught a simalarity between yours and his art. I kinda thought he stole your art.
^_^ That's very sweet of you to help everyone like this! I never upload any artwork that I do on websites because I'm always worried that it will get stolen (well that, and I lost my scanner XD), but if someone as talented as you has never had artwork stolen, then watermarking must work! ^^
Thanks for being so thoughtful!
OMGEE!! STOP THAT!! your work is lovely!! ; U ;
and belieeeve me...*sigh8 no one is safe from art thieves = __ =
it's always best to protect you work! it's SUCH an aggravating and sometimes hurtful situation to be in ; __ ;

lol my work is too ugly for people to steal. hahaha.
I should start watermarking everything. [sigh]
I've been lucky that no one dares steal from me [not that they would want to =.=] but I'll still watermark just in case. :D
LOL XDDD seriously? then she wasn't really trying to steal it. she's probably just bored LMFAO
but the point still remains that by having your signature on your work and URL ppl will see it , know it was stolen and report it :) without a signature, the thief can actually get away with it :(
if someone is posting my work somewhere, they can't really claim it LOL it has my watermark on it. i'm lucky that my watchers on DA have noted me EVERY TIME they see my work somewhere. lucky for me, what they're reporting are simply me posting on other sites LOL but it's good to know that ppl are looking out for me
*sigh* ppl have their days, but yes...death threats is just completely uncalled for...very immature. but funny enough, all art thieves i've dealt with have responded to me and CRUELLY. others respond by saying "i'm doing this because i'm bored." OMG!! WTF?!!
delete comments? most site i know of don't allow you to do that o . o
have the watermark blend in?? hmmm, personally, i'd rather have the water mark be VERY obvious for the simple fact that a watermark is meant to brand the piece; it's meant to protect your work. it it's too much incorporated into your work there's a chance it won't be noticed, or if it was posted at a low rez somewhere it wouldn't be readable anymore.
i see what you mean. make your name a part of the piece...that could work BUT again, they could digitally go over that :( a water mark added in after the piece was scanned, make it a bit translucent, place it over the very center of the piece...waht can they do to get rid of that?? erase if and attempt to repair the picture digitally? can't be done! put a bar over the watermark and put their own name?? too conspicuous and ppl will suspect it of being stolen (besides, doing this will be covering so much of the picture, being the very center and all XD ) the way i water mark my work is simply safer in my opinion. obvious and out in the open!! no WAY to miss it!
OMGEE!! it was my pleasure!! *hug* i needed to help somehow!! i saw the work that was stolen and %100 of what was stolen wasn't marked!!!!
Actually, I found out that the thief even stole art WITH signatures and URLS on them XD (yes, she was bold enough to leave the signature right there for everyone to see and yet she still claims it as her own XD) So at that point, I didn't really worry too much about it later on XP But what she did was indeed unacceptable and sending her death threats don't get you naywhere >_>; I don't usually snap as bad as I did yesterday but yesterday was just one of those days XD
Art thieves usually don't even respond, They delete your comment and carry on XP
I never really liked watermarks since it sometimes distracts my eyes from the actual art work but it's definitely worth it in order to save your art from being stolen.
I think another good idea would also be to make your signature blend in WITH the pic. Like use the same medium and make it part of the pic, like draw/ write your name on someone's shirt or instead of "Lewis straus" jeans, you can put [insert artist's name here] jeans 8D lol. Some ideas.
Thank you for posting these great tips for us. ^^ Art is an artist's soul and heart which we need to guard! XD
