Contemporary Shinsengumi Shoot

Alright, alright! Finally I present some of the photo's from the Contemporary Shinsengumi Photoshoot. It was certainly a surprise at how things turned out. Thank God it didn't rain! Hehheh.

There was no set theme for the shoot so we ended up with a pretty mix bag of "characters":

• yankee/street shinsengumi - SomeGuy
• osu! OSU! cheerleading/delinquent high school girl shinsengumi - Amefuri
• spider goth shinsengumi - s***** (don't know her screen name sorry)
• Bond Shinsengumi - KIMKAM
• Raver/Jrock/punk shinsengumi - maiea
• Evil Corporate/office lady shinsengumi - amenonine
• PIRATE Shinsengumi - Vyce
• Wild wild West Shinsengumi - Master Okita

Photographers were kimkam (treeviewer) and amenonine.

AND we can't forget the Shinsengumi MOBILE driven by our one and only Master Okita-san.

Maybe we'll just go back to being our traditional selves for a while again before we pull off another random shinsengumi theme shoot in the future. :D

Contemporary/Jrock/Punk/Rock/Modern Shinsengumi

So the project for May is our Contemporary Shinsengumi meet or photoshoot, also known as the Jrock/Punk/Modern/Yakuza/Gangster... Shinsengumi cosplay meet!

There really is no logical reason as to why we're going to be dressing up in our own contemporary renditions of the Shinsengumi uniforms. I guess, Variety is the Spice of Life? I thought it would be a fun project and perhaps we can also reused these costumes to march around SFU at night/evening--bwahaha!

I don't think a whole lot of us know exactly what we're doing yet, so its going to be a surprise for everyone! Yeah! We all love surprises.

Though to be organized, I say we should pick a date when to have this meet:
I was thinking either one of the last two weekends of May--

• May 23rd - 25th (I understand that on Friday, some of us may be going to a concert?)
• May 30 - June 1st

Which should also give us enough time to get our costumes together and have Maiea come back from her much anticipated trip to Japan.

Yes, and as for location dates I think we have decided that we'll at least look normal enough to storm down town to take pictures.
