    @Dagger IX1:

    I think it's a combination of Eloise Hawking and information gathering. I'm thinking he didn't plan to kill Locke at first (it certainly came off as a spur of the moment deal, anyway). The thought process I read that makes the most sense is that Ben believed he needed Locke to get back onto the island, but once Locke name dropped Hawking, Ben figured out a way to get back with Locke dead, so he took care of the deed himself.

    Hm, I couldn't see how many passengers were hurt but I wonder if the count is equal to the Oceanic 6 peeps???? Seeing as balance seems to be very important to the Island.

    And I totally agree on the ludicracy of Kate lecturing John on love *roflbarf* Also:

    "Aaron's not your son!!!!" *snickers*

    Ben is a sly bitch. Which is why we love him so much, lol. But it makes me antsy with anticipation to find out who the real Bad Boss is out of the nominees so far. Good thing the pacing is excellent this season ^_^

    Hahaha, Ben as suicide counselor is not something I ever thought I'd see on this show. I kind of want to rewatch that scene to figure out what made him change his mind--it sort of looked as if Locke mentioning Mrs. Hawking was what did it. Of course, the alternatives are that 1) Locke needed to be killed by someone else for the magical death stuff to work, 2) he didn't trust Locke to commit suicide properly (lol), 3) he just wanted to pump him for information first.

    And wow, did Kate and Jack come off as pricks this time around. I was about to say the entire O6, but Sayid and Hurley behaved pretty decently about it, all things considered.
