If you ever want to watch the anime, it covers the first 66 chapters or so of the manga. Which still leaves a ton of ground afterward to cover, but still. xD

I've seen nothing but Skip Beat! being advertised whenever I go to MangaFox (or at least it seems that way). I've thought of reading it, but the chapters I'd have to plow through are quite intimidating...
Haha, there are intense pockets of Clannad/Key hate around. The melodrama is too thick and tearjerky for a good number of people, whereas Skip Beat! is more balanced in that area.

Putting Skip Beat! over Clannad ~After Story~? A lot of people would D: at even the thought of that. :3
The manga is certainly far enough to cover another 24 episodes, so I don't know why a second season hasn't been announced. I'm also a little surprised that the anime doesn't have a bigger budget, since the manga is hella popular. I guess shoujo series always get the shaft. :/
*fangirls all over this post* Kyoko's personality (both of them xD) is what really drew me in at the beginning and from there on it just got better. It's lovely to see an anime go against the grain in regards to the interaction between characters in all their various forms (love, friendship, etc).
Character exploration/development is also visually awesome (for instance, the video where she's playing an angel who has to "kill" Shou is wonderful! and I'm also very partial to the one where an injured Kyoko briefly stands in for that bratty actress in a tea-serving scene). While Skip Beat! might not have the prettiest/flashiest animation I actually like it more for it. It kinda mirrors the imperfections in the people :)
Watching it made me feel very refreshed, though painfully yearning for another season ;_; /continues fangirling to herself :3

1-10 are good, watchable series. 11-15 are OK but flawed. Akane-iro sucks hard. Stacked, I tells ya!
