Grungy evil Claire got a very positive reaction among my circle of friends as well. I have this sneaking sense of being pandered to by the writers with all the ultra-ironic Ethan moments and so forth ("I don't want to use needles on you if I don't have to"), but I don't care cause I totally loved that stuff. Lapped it right up.
My memory is pretty bad, too--dunno if I should be glad or not that I won't be able to tell if they're pulling a fast one on us, haha. I had a long discussion with someone about whether or not they already revealed everything about Rousseau's team's sickness, and neither of us could fully remember. ^^;;
