    I think Are You Afraid of the Dark? is what literally made me scared of the dark. Dead serious. See, there was this one episode that scarred me as a six year old child; something involving a monster at a pool... I dunno, it's probably really frickin' crappy but I was scared as hell of it back in the day.

    So the other lesson to be learned here is don't mess around with TV ratings. When they say "Y7", they frickin' mean it.

    I think I may have seen some episodes of that back in the day, but I can't really remember, although I know I watched Goosebumps and another show called Eerie Indiana.

    @Ducky:

    I'd say Are You Afraid of the Dark? is better than Goosebumps too (or at least on the same level). In my coupling, Goosebumps provides the goofy, and Twilight Zone provides the creepy (along with the occasionally condescending morality).

    Wow this really brings back memories.
    I used to love this show~! :3
    My very first episode was "Tale of the Shiny Red Bicycle"
    At the time I didn't think that one was so scary...
    Then I watched "Tale of Apartment 214" and freaked out haha
    I remember watching "Tale of the Fire Ghost"...
    I vaguely have some recollection of being like "OMG CHEMISTRY!"
    But I guess it was just a fire extinguisher ^^;;;;

    Are You Afraid of the Dark? always beat out Goosebumps in my house. I used to watch that show all the time--and it scared the pants off me, too, so I guess it was doing its job.

    Did you ever watch So Weird? That used to be my favorite show ever... and then I youtubed it awhile back for nostalgia's sake, and it was crappy! And I was sad. D:

    There's only three episodes I remember. A creepy ghost sliding down banisters, the pool over a graveyard, and the episode where someone's brother almost dies in some water duct.

    The pool one has to be my favorite. Man I miss this show. It really scared the heck out of me but it was a lot more fun than goosebumps that was just stupid.

    Six-year-olds and nuclear weapons: a combination that just can't be beat.
