Oh wow, it's been a while since I last watched Training Day. For some reason, I had expected Training Day to be like the movie S.W.A.T. (which was really shallow), so I was soooo glad when it turned out so much better.

Woohoo! I just know youll enjoy Death at a Funeral. It's hilarious, plus it has Rupert Graves in it. <3 All About Eve is another very good, very dramatic movie. I think it might be my favorite of Betty Davis's rolls, actually. =P
I could definitely see why she would form that opinion. It worked for me, but the movie definitely walks a fine line of acceptance between what the audience knows vs. what the little boy knows.
All About Eve and Death at a Funeral. <3
Can't wait to see what you think of them, especially Death at a Funeral, that movie is just insanely hilarious. =3
"Have you fallen in love?" "No, but I've stepped on it."
My sister watched The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas at the end of school last year and was rather unimpressed by what she called the sheer predictability of the movie, which means to me that the dramatic irony that you say the movie depends on is possibly worn a bit thin. I'd have to see it myself to be a good judge, considering the sister in question, but I too am rather sensitive to a movie being too dependent on its audience knowing where the movie is going all the time.
