The first arc is basic murder mystery stuff -- setting the tone for the rest of the series, introducing the players (and killing them all off), show the scenario, etc. It is sort of "same thing, different setting" right now, but it could easily go off in its own direction.

Just wondering, how is Umineko in comparison to Higurashi so far? Is it "same thing, different setting" or are they taking the concept and doing something unique from Higurashi...?
