I know it's hard sometimes speaking to non-native English speakers about things. Sometimes we have to explain a little bit extra to my Oma and she's been living in America for over forty years. I love her though. ^_^

hahaha. You're right! I never noticed that before.
They also hardly ever wash their hands with soap, even after using the restroom. Eeeeeew. Still, I love Japan despite some of the extreme differences.
