There's at least one thing that seems to be a bit original in Spider Riders. It's the fact that the main character is a BOY who has PINK HAIR.
A boy with pink hair...now isn't that quite unique in the anime world? But that unique element is part of the reason why I tend to scratch my head with this show. Every time I look at him, I'm often reminded of Sakura from "Naruto". Heck, when I first saw an ad for this show, I thought the character was a girl.
And after a quick Google search, I can now see that both of them have green eyes as well. Is this saying that he's Sakura's long lost brother?

It's like I say, there's practically nothing left in the world that is original, it just depends on what spin you put on existing ideas. And this spins it right down the crapper.
