Happiness is the ability to recognize it.

Hi! Well, I decided to put a quote as a title this time. Just to make it more interesting. This was by Carolyn Wells. Interesting. ^_^ I'm still feeling very sore, and have a HUGE headache. I'm just trying to take my pain killers. Hopefully I won't become addicted like I was a few years ago to Ibuprofen. Although, this is Naproxin, maybe it's slightly different? It's funny to feel the lumps on my head they're getting huge and they're kind of itchy. I'm trying my best not to scratch them. I finally sent out my letter to a Japanese penpal. I think she's been waiting awhile. The reason why it was so late was because we had to go out and buy an international stamp at the post office, and we never got around to it until today. Although, she took a much longer time to write. So, maybe it's ok. In hers she made a mini origami crane. It's kind of cool. I didn't really send anything extra though. Maybe she'll just be glad she got the letter. ;) It was my first letter to Japan! Sorry, but it's kind of exciting!

I actually finished typing up my long Japanese vocab list. I did about 4 rows including the most common phrases. Phrases like Sayonara and Gomennasai. (Which means: Goodbye (very polite way of saying it), and I'm sorry.) After a meal they say gochisousamadeshita, which is like I enjoyed my meal or thank you for the meal. It looks longer in Romaji than hiragana, it's kind of funny this way. So, hopefully tomorrow I can go over it again, and find the kanji for some of the words I don't have. Then, I can make sentences, and work on more grammar. Oh, joy! But, it's still fun to me! I'll probably add more words to these lists too. I like my system so far. ^_^

I watched more of Nabari no Ou. I really like that they made the advisor or teacher as a guy from Ireland. They had him making as they said 'braised beef with a Guinness broth'. Kind of cool they're showing at least a little of his heritage. Also, cool because I'm part Irish, in fact quite a large percentage of me is of Irish descent. I told my dad about it, and he said Guinness goes with everything, and it's the best. I don't like beer so I wouldn't really know. Also, I feel kind of bad for Yoite. He doesn't really want to be known for killing people and is second guessing the ninjas he works for. I like how Miharu's cat is really close to him and tries to warn him of things.

I didn't really have time to watch Gintama. :( I also was distracted by a game online about farming. You collect eggs from these really large chicken like birds. After you collect them, you eventually send it to a place that spews out powdered eggs. After that you make bread in another machine. Then, the bread is converted to like a cherry pie kind of thing in another machine. You can buy ostriches too, although all they help you with is their feathers give you lots of money. There's lions that pop out of no where that like to eat the birds. If you cage them up you can sell them for money too. Also, there's even an incubator for the birds. I think I spent like an hour and a half on it. =^_^= T'was very addicting! ;)

Brrring! Brrrring!

Hi! Well, I did kind of a stupid thing this morning. My alarm clock went off, and I went to go turn it off. As soon as my leg hit the floor I noticed it was cramping up and just wouldn't support my weight. The leg fell under me and I hit my head on my night stand coming down. I hit it so hard, I could have sworn I was bleeding. Not only that but just before that I was feeling like throwing up and had a huge headache. So, after that I felt an even worse headache, and more of a feeling of nausea. I had 2 huge lumps show up shortly after. One at the base of my head, the other towards the middle. Also, now I'm noticing I must have hit my arm somehow, because there's a pretty deep bruise. All I wanted to do was turn that stupid alarm off! Pretty smart, huh? :P My parents came in after I had fallen back asleep (only went back to sleep because I felt like crap) and asked if I was ok. I told them what happened, and they said you have take some tums, eat something, and then take some pain killers. I just wanted to go back to bed. Eventually I did what they suggested. I feel slightly better, but still crappy.

I did some more Japanese. Which I finished all the h's this time. East is interesting it's: 東 or higashi. To play a musical instrument is hikimasu. Lunch is 昼ごはん or hirugohan, which literally means noon meal. Kind of cool. :) Bath is furo. Old looks kind of cool: 古い or furui. Heya is room. To study is kind of a long word: benkyoushimasu.

I watched more of Nabari no Ou. It's getting kind of dramatic, although I like that they've been adding lots of comedy to the tension. Harumi is still funny! I think the other guy they just met called Yoite is interesting too. He has the ability to force his life force or what the Chinese call 'chi' to attack his opponent. He can basically rip people to shreds just by moving his arms or even just looking at them. o_0 But, there's a price to pay. He loses some of his life energy, which means it shortens his lifespan every time he uses it.

In Gintama, they went to a barbershop. Gintoki just wanted a 'straight perm'. The barber leaves him and Kagura and Shinpachi to tend to the shop while he gets a manga. Characters keep popping up and they're being forced to work on people's hair. It was pretty funny! They think they can stall the 'customers' until the barber or hairdresser comes back. It's kind of funny I haven't been to a hairdresser in a long time. Like 2 and a half years! But, I'm growing it out so it makes since. It was pretty short before, now the longest parts go down to the middle part of my back. In order to keep it tame I've been straightening it and relaxing it. Kind of like what Gintoki wanted that stupid barber to do. If let mine go wild without straightening or relaxing it gets pretty bushy. So, I kind of know his pain! ;P

Oh, this morning my mom was running a fever. So, my dad was worried about both of us. I feel kind of bad about that. He thought for some reason that the buffet yesterday made us sick. Who knows maybe it did. Hopefully, we'll get better soon.

Test Results

Hi! Well, I wasn't able to do much today because my mom had an appointment with her oncologist and I wanted to be there for her. She had a full body scan done when she went for the brain scan the last time. Now we finally have the results. He said that it looks like the growth in her mastoid bone (the one close to her brain next to her left ear) looks like a flare up from when she had breast cancer maybe just from the meds she was taking at the time. It somehow traveled up there. He looked further down the scan and showed us weak "spots" of her bones that look like they can fracture the bone at any moment. 2 on her spine, 2 on one hip, a couple on her leg, and some other places. He said if they were to fracture she'll need a wheelchair and might become paralyzed. He's apparently more worried about those than the growth in her mastoid bone. He said they can't biopsy that bone because of how complicated it is to get in there. Since it's a flare up, he said it can go away on its own, but he's not sure. So, for the time being he made her take a med that's only given intravenously to help strengthen her bones. Now, I feel even more worried about her. :( The nurses took forever to get her hooked up to the med. By the time we got out we were very hungry. It was like 2:30 PM and I hadn't eaten since 7:30 AM. So, we decided to eat out. We barely ever eat out, so this was a nice treat. Plus, it was kind of to make her feel better. It was what we call lupper or lunch and supper in one meal. ;P We went to a Chinese buffet. Oh, it's like one of the best ones around us! So, good! I love their sesame beef (it's like candy really!), cheese wontons, chicken teriyaki skewers, buttermilk biscuits with a little sugar on top, chicken dumplings with a little sweet and sour sauce, lo mein, honey chicken (another thing that's like candy!), garlic green beans, vegetable fried rice, and apple pie. The apple pie oddly is one of the best pies I've had. It's got like a strudel kind of filo dough that's wrapped around huge chunks of apple and has an awesome sauce. After that we came home. My mom's going to go to her Mah Jong thing later. So, that will get her mind off things.
