Story- Part 7

Rhoda's scream brought Marisa back to the present. Looking up she saw the man standing over Rhoda as she lay injured in the floor. She was angry at herself. Here Rhoda was fighting with everything she had while Marisa stood there, stuck in her past. Who was really the strong one here, she wondered. She looked at the necklace laying at her feet and defiantly picked it up.
"Hey, you idiot over there," Marisa said to the man who had hurt Rhoda. He glanced at her angrily. "Think you're so tough just because you managed to beat up a girl half your age?"
"What did you say?" He was now focused on her. He started to step closer. Marisa took a deep breath. She thought about what Rhoda had said earlier about making it past the little things, as she hooked the necklace around her neck.
The man was closer now and suddenly swung his knife at her. In no more than five seconds, she knocked his hand away, kicked his feet out from under him, and stood above him with her foot hanging threateningly over his head. The man lay in shocked silence as the people standing against the wall let out exclamations of surprise. She put her foot nearer to his head as they started to creep closer. "Take one more step," she threatened, "and I'll kick this guy right in his head."
They all pounced on her at once.

Story- Part 5

They woke up sitting against a wall in a dim building, with their wrists tied behind them. Marisa could tell by the unkempt appearance of the place that it was an abandoned building. Once her eyes adjusted to the little light that came through the windows she saw that she and Rhoda were surrounded. About twenty people, all dressed in black jackets, stood along the walls of the large room they were in, looking at the two girls. A man, who appeared to be the leader, stepped forward when he saw that his captives were awake.
"So," he said as he drew nearer," Rhoda thought she was slick, didn't she? Thought we wouldn't notice when she started working with the Deviants. The man looked at Marisa as if she was something nasty he'd found under his shoe. Ingoring him, Marisa leaned slightly closer to Rhoda. "Is this the group you were working with?" Marisa asked her. "The ones who're supposed to attack us tonight?" Rhoda nodded.
"Hey!, " the man yelled. Rhoda let out a squeal of surprise he suddenly kicked the wall directly next to her head. Keeping his foot firmly planted on the wall, he leaned over them menacingly. " Next person who talks without my permission is dead." Marisa sighed, feeling more annoyed than frightened. She had fought enemies much more formidable than this before and would have no problem putting this to an end if there were no interferences. She began testing the strength of the ropes around her wrists and was about to break free when a determined look suddenly came over Rhoda's face.
Taking them all by surprise, Rhoda sprang up and head-butted the man standing over them. He stumbled backwards. The people watching along the edges of the room began drawing their weapons and moving closer, but the man held up his hand to stop them. Clutching his injured face, he drew a long knife from his back pocket and said angrily, " I don't need any help to take down one useless little girl."

Story- Part 3

Rhoda knew exactly what she was talking about. Just over a hundred years ago, children around the world were reported to have been born with a new gene called the Power gene. No one knew where this new gene came from, but anyone born with it developed special powers that varied from person to person. They were known as Deviants. Marisa, and everyone at Meridan's, was a Deviant. Her Powers were extreme speed, strength, and agility. Not everyone accepted Deviants. There were people who hated, feared, or were jealous of them. Deviants were forced to seek protection by forming their own towns away from society as many groups formed with the intention of eliminating them.
Rhoda had joined one of these organizations, the Executors, and worked as a double agent. She did not attend Meridan's, but she constantly informed the school of the organization's plans. Meridan's was a special school where all the students were trained to use their Powers to capture these hostile groups.
The incident that Marisa spoke of was caused by the most dangerous of these groups; an organization called the Deviant Hunters or D.H. for short. Seven years ago, the D.H. suddenly massacred several Deviant towns. Ten towns were destroyed before the D.H. were stopped and Marisa's village was one of them. Marisa was the only survivor from her village.

Story- Part 2

This story wasn't supposed to be more than 6 pages long and I almost went over. It would literally go over 6 pages of I added one more word. :

Maria obediently bowed her head then hurried from the room to send the message. "Will that be all, Ms. Deoni?"
"Yes" , Rhoda replied.
"Then you are all dismissed." The remaining three students got up and began to exit the office. Rhoda stood by the door then caught the arm of Marisa, the school's top student, as she walked by.
"Hey, I've got some time to kill. You wouldn't mind me helping you get ready for the dance would you?"
"Won't they get suspicious when you're gone for so long?" asked Marisa.
"I'm supposed to be keeping an eye on the school, so it would actually be strange if I returned too quickly."
"Alright then, do what you want." Rhoda smiled and followed Marisa down the hall.
Half an hour later, the two girls were in Marisa's dorm. Rhoda was flinging the few dresses that Marisa owned across the bed when she felt something fly past; nearly missing her face. She looked on the bed where the thing had landed and saw the most beautiful necklace she had ever seen. It was a simple chain of diamonds with strings of silver and topaz laced through. Rhoda picked up the necklace and turned toward Marisa, who was standing in front of the mirror.
"Did you throw this....?" Rhoda began to ask, but stopped when she saw the pained look on Marisa's face.
"Yeah, sorry," Marisa said, "that necklace just reminds me of something I'd rather forget. It was that day, seven years ago."

Story

For my 1st official post in this world I'll share a story I wrote for one of my classes. It's several pages long so I'll post it in pieces. :

"They plan to attack tonight"
Rhoda stood calmly in the headmistress's office of Meridan's School for Power Users. In front of her, behind a desk, sat the principal of the school, Ms. Tyler. Beside her sat the the top four students in the school. It was a tradition that these five people be present during important announcements, and this announcement was very important.
"I see", said Ms. Tyler, " planning to take us by surprise are they?" She smiled slyly. " Maria."
Maria, the fourth best student in the school, stood up from her chair. "Go to the main office", Ms. Tyler commanded, "and tell them to make an announcement to the whole school. The rogue group, Executors, plans to launch an attack on our school tonight during the Winter Solstice Dance. However, we will show them that our school would not even flinch in the presence of such an organization. All students are to prepare for the dance as usual, but arm yourselves and be ready for an attack at all times. We'll see who gets taken by surprise then."
