Well I guess if it lays an egg then it's a girl, but if you know some one who breeds doves/pigeons they could probably look at it's butt and tell it's gender.(Way cheaper than a blood test)
Well I can't quite tell if it's male or female just from the picture. So how about Ichi? it means 'one' in Japanese. I did that when I bought a duckling, his name is Hachi.
