I have to agree, this is especially jarring considering it came after an episode where everyone got high on marijuana, which easily makes my list for funniest anime moments.

I'm shocked to hear that the series changed gears like that for a tonal sucker-punch. Part of me wants to give it another chance, but knowing that, I may not. XD
