Aw, fond memories of this series! I was so excited when they released a second season. I enjoyed the expansion of the Lyoko world and of course it was fun to have Aelita in the world made Jeremy happy that's for certain
It's easy to get negative over live-action especially when this series is set one year after the events of the original. I'll reserve judgement until it gets exported from France, well if it gets exported from France.
As for the new season... Ew. I haven't seen any of it, but I've seen pictures of the live action, and it looksterrible. The amount that the changed the character's appearances is enough for me to not want to watch it. Not to mention how they're continuing it even after how well they wrapped up last season...
