The problem with the V-Birds was it tried to grab an audience that didn't exist. It's worth digging through my old World posts for the Cartoon Vault entry on it, it's an interesting read.
V-Birds sounded a bit like something a seven year old would invent. Actually, I suspect that all irritating generic commercialtoons are the brainchild of the producer's elementary-school kids.
