yep, since legends like this are oral lores, which mean that they are told/shared by mouth, they are all mostly the same and are different in some details :D You know that game "telephone"? where the 1st person would whisper a phrase and that phrase would be pass to the next until it gets to the last person. Then the phrase that the last person would get is totally different or changed? yeah, it's like that :D

Oh yeah! Universal Studios did a haunted house based on this for Halloween Horror Nights one year!
