Wait, whaaaat?
Note: This rant is full of complete bias, as a good rant should be. Also, spoilers.
So, I stumbled across a Youtube anime reviewer today who really didn't like Soul Eater, disliked Deadman Wonderland, and yet loved Sword Art Online. My response? WWWHHHAAAAAATTTT????? You nuts, sir? Are you sure you don't have a little pressure in your brain where there shouldn't be? Gomen to all those people for whom this is a reality.
The first review I listened to was the one of Soul Eater, where he made some points that I can sort of understand, yet grrreeaaatttlllyyy disagree with. I.e. Lord Death should be super creepy and should intimidate the characters. HAHAHAHAHA no. In case you haven't noticed, Soul Eater isn't known for its seriousness, it's known for its silliness, and Lord Death is a great example of that. Another thing that bugged me is that he said that Black*Star never, not once proved himself to be something more than a jerk. He briefly mentioned how he hadn't seen all of Soul Eater, which is really too bad, 'cause Black*Star proves himself to be more than a jerk multiple times throughout the series.
On Deadman Wonderland, he mentions how unrealistic the plot setup is, and how sadistic the world would have to be to watch the people being killed. Thing is, ha, people are sadistic and there'd be no one who'd really watch it. However, in case you haven't watched the news lately, yes, people are sadistic. Not everyone would want to watch what's going on, but I think the concept of the prison Deadman Wonderland would be popular enough to gain a certain type of audience, who, yes, would want to watch people be killed with "special effects".
Especially the claim "there's no way anyone would let his happen in our version of reality" ...apparently you've never cracked open a history book. People are really, really messed up. It's a fact. He then talks about how pointlessly graphic it all was, and...well, I'm not gonna lie here. It was pointlessly graphic. Doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. It really played on my sadistic side, and to this day I have not seen an anime combining beautiful with Sadistic as well as Deadman Wonderland. On to him talking about the lack of Ganta's past - I believe this was less because they weren't going to include it, and more that they were going to reveal it slowly more in the second season as the mystery behind Ganta, Shiro, and Deadman Wonderland itself is revealed. Also, about Shiro ...no, I haven't seen a character like her before. And it's less that she's innocent, and more that she's naive. But, really, it's about her split personality, being both the cute Shiro and being the killer the Red Egg. That's what makes her interesting. Also, judging her outfit? Honey, this isanime we're talking about, we don't question things like outfits.
Now, on to Sword Art Online. While I'll admit that the first few episodes were good, it just goes downhill from there. One of the first things he talked about is the "original" concept... Obviously he's never heard of .hack//SIGN, who got to this sort of idea looking before SAO came into existence. He then talked about the romance between Kirito and Asuna, and I'll agree that is well portrayed emotionally, it's also as shallow as heck. He also mentioned the action, saying good action comes from making you root for a certain character. I'd only partially agree to this, saying that good action comes from a.mixture of that, as well as 1. Good animation and 2. Thoroughly convincing your audience that the main character's life is in danger. One of the biggest issues with SAO is that Kirito has so many near-death-experiences throughout the show that by the end, you're all like "Nope. He's gonna live. No matter what happens, he's gonna live." Which, of course, turns out to be true. Also he briefly mentions "good characters"....pffff, what? He said that Kirito "actually has a personality. He's a lone wolf who does things his own way." ....Pfff, that "personality" has been done so many times, it's impossible to count. In my opinion, Kirito's entire character was made to make the ladies swoon (which it did), not to mention mary-sued as heck. Add in the cardboard personality of Asuna, and it all just works like a bad fanfiction. Not to mention the mini-harem that was going on. Granted, there were some good characters, but they were either rarely seen or discarded pretty early in the series. Also, the stuff that disturbed me about SAO - the whole thing between Kirito and his cousin. No, I do not support incest, so... That was weird. Granted I can relate to thinking your cousin is hot, but putting it into an anime just for kicks and giggles? ...Seriously, was there even a point to that? At all? They would have been perfectly fine making Leafa a stranger. Also, the whole thing with Kirito, Asuna and that one little girl.... Really? Making them the "parents" of this little girl? She's, what, seven and they're, what, seventeen? Granted, they're married (once again, really? At seventeen?), but if your kid is only ten years younger than you, then we got issues. And, once again, served little to no purpose. In the end, there are way too many flaws for this to be considered a "great" anime, and I think it's one of the most overrated anime of all time.

Too many chiefs, not enough warriors?
I'm sorry to rant over something so trivial, but I need to know whether I'm in the right or just being a dumbbutt.
Situation: On two of my wallpapers so far, someone on here (I won't say who, I'm not that mean) has criticized my work on things that make sense, although I disagree with. (I.e. "Your wallpaper is blurry. No one likes a blurry wallpaper" well, yeah, I blurred parts of it to make the eye naturally focus on other parts, I do that with most of my wallpapers).
I dunno about you guys, but when I post a wallpaper, I'm not really looking for criticism. If I was, I'd probably post it in a more professional setting, or at least say so in the description. The only thing I'm looking to be criticized here for is my writing, since I want to be a writer when I grow up.
So, what? Who's in the wrong here?

So. Two guys. Where one is weak, the other is strong. But, as everyone knows, you just simply can't have two boyfriends at once.
....SO WHICH ONE DO I PICK!?
Okay, so neither have exactly professed love to me or anything, but I can easily see us together. I'm both of their best non-related female friends (I think) and I see both of them on a daily basis.
Let me begin by describing them:
Guy 1: I've asked him a date twice. Both times "his parents had stuff he wanted to do." Now, I've heard him talk about his parents, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was true. However, twice? In a row? Just a wee bit fishy, dontcha think? He's sweet, funny, and is (for the most part) okay with just a bit of physical contact. He seems to pay more attention to me than Guy 2. However, he doesn't really like anime, and hasn't seen any of it. We also have widespread opinions on other things (he's a hardcore dog person, and I... prefer cats). It feels less secure and more awkward with him, yet he seems to be the easier guy to get.
Guy 2: I haven't asked him on a date, but I plan to soon. While he isn't exactly an otaku, he's half-Japanese and, well, he respects that. He respects and integrates his heritage in his daily life (i.e. he doesn't usually use physical contact, he is never very loud, etc.) He's seen and likes some anime, and he is one of the most hilarious guys I have ever met, and he is usually whenever Guy 1 is absent (or just isn't paying attention to me). However, on multiple occasions his male friends have tried to convince him to ask a girl out, and every time he's declined. (This doesn't mean he's completely unromantic or gay, as about a year ago he did say he liked a girl) I feel more stable with him, especially since I've known him for a lot longer than I've known Guy 1, but he still seems a bit harder to get.

Okay.... This is beginning to piss me off. AND NO I AM NOT DOING ANYTHING LIKE CHINASAN DID. I am ranting on how people SHOULD STOP BEING FREAKIN DRAMA QUEENS AND CLAM YO SHIT BEFORE I COME HERE AND SEND YOU TO SMITHEREENS! *ahem*
Okay. First of all. EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN FREAKIN OPINIONS. which means, if they don't likes. Character and classify them as something....THEN ITS THEIR OPINION SO DONT FREAKIN SHOVE YOURSELF IN BETWEEN AND START MAKING THEM GO YOUR WAY. BECAUSE IT AINT LIKE THAT. I sometimes think of France as a rapist. (No offence peps.) I WOULDN'T LIKE HAVING SOMEONE COME HERE AND SCREAM YO MY FACE TELLING ME TO GO THEIR WAY AND CHANGE MY OPINION ABOUT HIM. you are free to think whatever you want. ITS A FREE COUNTRY DAMMIT, (at least where I am.....)
Second of all, DONT START WORLD WAR THREE ON THIS SHIZ DAMMIT. people and free to think what they want and do what they want. So if your pissed about how they feel towards your favourite character or towards some anime character you know.... THEN KEEP IT TO YOURSELF PLEASE. don't go all caps on them for god's sake! Grow up people! You are fighting over something that has no meaning to! Why creat such a harsh not so safe and not so nice friendly environment over opinions and stupid drama llamas?
Please guys don't take offence but look at what some people are doing! It's dumb and it's for not good reason!
