You're actually better off reading the manga, because there was a lot of stuff from the manga that they cut out of The Final Act because they only had twenty-six episodes to work with.
And then they recycled all of the stuff they cut from The Final Act to use for the first season of Yashahime, which I thought was kind of a lame move.
But yeah, the pacing for the InuYasha anime is a bit off because the original six seasons contained a lot of filler, and then with The Final Act they cut out quite a few chapters.
I just started to read the manga of Inuyasha. I wanted to read it because the pace of the series as opposed to "The Final Act" was a bit jarring. I'm hoping for something smoother in the manga. Of course I've barely started. Only 50 more volumes to go.
Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!
