Yeah, I think we could have learned a lot. He's willing to help me if I need it when I study for the Italian AP exam, and he lent me a textbook, so that's good. Yay for being one of his favorites!

My teacher was Mexican, but he lived in Spain for a while. My 1st and 2nd grade teacher was Spanish...I learned more those two years of elementary than the others.

Haha, yeah my Spanish teacher when I was in eight grade taught us real Spanish because he was from Spain, but we treated him TERRIBLY and never did anything.
And I wish I learned more with my Italian teacher, but the students didn't do anything either, so it's not all his fault

Seriously? That sucks then...almost everyone hated my Spanish teacher because he made us write so much, but I didn't mind, my Spanish actually improved (because he taught us Spanish Spanish, not Mexican slang like my other teacher). It's still cool that he knew so many languages.

Haha, yeah, but he actually didn't teach me that much...we didn't do anything in his class most of the time. But I know he really knows the languages well, he even lived in Italy

Really? Yikes! Well I have two Spanish teachers at my school, but one of them teaches ALL the languages that are offered. He teaches Spanish, Italian, French, and he's taught German before, and he knows Portuguese...he's a master of languages or something!

Which is stupid because my school is small enough that we don't have many languages or levels of languages...we didn't even have a Spanish 4 this year, and most people at my school take Spanish.

I've seen some of the questions for the italian test, it seems pretty simple (unlike the AP, which I will take in May) but I still wish I had more of a vocabulary, because I don't know what 75% of the words in the passages mean :/

Ahhh, it that type of book. Heart of Darkness is about an ivory trader that is completely obsessed with another infamous trader that he's never met. It's difficult to tell which parts actually happened and which were figments of the author's imagination. I never finished it...I barely made it to the second part and just gave up, it has basically no plot and it's extremely dull -.- I seriously have no idea why it's considered to be so great.

Lord of the Flies sounds interesting, and it probably doesn't take forever to get to the point. I find I prefer reading the epic stories and poems...I don't care much for the realistic ones...
