I should definitely look for Blind Guardian. That sounds like it's up my alley. You know about Iron Savior? They're a power metal band from Germany if you don't look up Never Say Die I love that song.

Just checked out Blind Guardian and MAN, those guys are pretty epic. Wish I knew about them sooner. :D
