Today is Monday, so I hope my answer still counts. 0_~

The anime that got me hooked was Sailor Moon. Before I actually watched it, I dismissed it as "girly Power Rangers". Then, one day, I actually gave it a try. Hey, I was home from school and trying to dodge doing homework. TV seemed like a good excuse at the time.

The first episode I saw was actually in the middle of the first season. It was so cute and funny that I practically fell in love. Once I learned that the episodes built on each other, I was addicted. Sure, I watched a lot of it out of order, but thanks to Hulu, I can watch it in a way that makes sense.

That wasn't my first anime though. When I was little, I watched a lot of Nickelodeon's morning programming, which ran the occasional anime. Of course, I have very little memory of that, but I do remember that they weren't like average cartoons. The looked different and the characters talked really fast. I guess those were the days of really bad dubs.

Call it karma. Call it luck. Me, I just don't give a... BOUNCE!

Mine was Inuyasha. I first found a music video made from clips from one of the movies, and started watching the series from there.
