I admit I am a little late with the guys. But I have 2 solutions for you. Feel free to try them.
1: go all Yandere Simulator on him. He'll notice *nudge nudge wink wink*
2 write him a note and tell him it's from a close friend. Walk off as he reads it. Or you could get your friends to do it. I did and it worked, although it DID need a bit of work.
