Hey, I'm WildGirl1977 (aka Lena). I'm a punk rocker, hence the name of the blog :)It's a play on the Ramones song "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker". I like anime (duh), sci-fi, comics, and rock and roll. update-y

Hey guys! So it's been a bazillion years since I did a proper update, but this time it's not because I'm super busy, I'm just too lazy to write anything. Hey, it's summer. I'm still at my crappy Dunkin' Donuts job, but I might start working at the hipster cafe in town. There's also the nitro ice cream store and the Sally's Beauty Supplies, so we'll see.
I recently changed the name of this world slightly. It's not a big deal, but it was something that was sort of bugging me. For some reason when I joined I made a point of spelling my name "Lina" even though I actually spell it "Lena". I don't know why I did that exactly, but it just made things confusing so I switched the world title. So yeah.
So I recently bought myself some silly presents. I'm now the proud owner of the Cowboy Bebop DVD set. It set me back $40, but it's totally worth it.
In other boring me-news, I'm almost done with issue 5 of Kagamure. Yeah, I know I've been saying I'm almost done for like a month now, but seriously, I have like two pages to go. Also, if you haven't seen yet there's a Kagamure challenge going, so if you haven't seen it yet you should check it out. It's set to the maximum time limit, so if you're a procrastinator like me, never fear, you have three months to enter something.

LOZ: BotW website

Hey guys! Nintendo's Japanese website has an official Breath of the Wild site with music and screenshots and stuff. I couldn't check it out because my dumb computer froze up, but you can check it out here. I am so gonna make wallies of this stuff when I get a decent computer.

Done with high school

Finished my finals yesterday. On Friday I graduate, but I'm basically done with high school (as I have been since day one of freshman year ) Since my post-high school life began, I have:
-Watched Escape From LA, the stupidest movie ever made, which I enjoyed immensely
-Slept till noon
-Checked Facebook to see if my semi-boyfriend was online. He was not.
-Probably ate something
-Got dressed
-Debated pros and cons of buying smoothie this afternoon.
-Checked Facebook again. Semi-boyfriend still not online. It's almost like he has a life or something
-Stayed on Facebook, because I don't have a life.
-Wrote rambling post for TheO.

Quickie update

Hey guys! Long time no see! School's almost out so I've been super busy, so that's why the radio silence I'd like to do a proper update since it's been ages and so much stuff has happened, but I really need to study, so here's a quick breakdown:
1)I opened a bank account and got a debit card
2)Since opening my bank account I have spent almost $60 at the comic book shop, so clearly i can't be trusted with a debit card
3)Know that LOZ Collector's Edition for Gamecube? Got a copy for just $30 bucks. How cool is that??
4)I'm halfway done with Issue 5 of Kagamure. Yeah, I know I always say that, but this time it's actually true!
5)Speaking of which, May 25th was Kagamure's first birthday! And in that year about one day has passed in the comic. Man, that's weird.
6) I have a ~~sort of~~ boyfriend now, but that's another post.

Unbelievable

Someone on Deviantart just accused me of plagiarism. I joined DA a few months back thinking it would be a good way to expand my audience, but I never really uploaded anything. The only time I posted anything was about a month ago. Just for fun I put up an older drawing. Since I'm new, there was no activity on it and I just assumed it got lost in a sea of uploads. Which is fine, I didn't expect to get attention right away, I'm still new. This morning I logged in and found that I had two feedback notifications. I was excited, because I was finally getting activity on my account. Turns out, one of those notifications was a user called Boxygrandpa, whatever the hell that means, who said "strange how the artists name on the drawing doesn't match yours hmm?". Cute. My first time having any sort of interaction with another DA user, and it's some troll accusing me of plagarism. I responded in what I though was a pretty mature manner, all things considered, then flagged his comment as spam. You can see the page here and decide for yourself if I made the right call. I dunno. I'm just so angry. I spend so much time on TheO where everyone is nice to each other, I totally forgot the other 99% of the internet is full of raging assholes. For the record, I sign my artwork with the initials of my real name, because I have different usernames on different website. Should I start using my online names on my artwork? Should I start putting a watermark on my stuff? Or am I just taking this jerkwad too seriously? (Probably the last one, huh?)
