Wow, your reply is as long if not longer than my article. XD I like that though. For the questions I can answer. The PS4 has a kind of backwards compatibility. It won't play discs but it can play PS1, PS2 and PS3 through playing on the cloud. Maybe it can play discs later. Also yes, both PS4 and Xbox One will transfer your trophies/achievements. :)
