“So why not except that it is true already?” The Luxray Xio said to Kiki. He stood before her and said, “You and I are going to the festival and that’s that.” He poked her on the nose and winked. “Now if you excuse me, let me clean up for a bit before we leave.”

Kiki nodded and Xio left the kitchen.

She looked at the sink; the faucet was still running water so she turned it off. “Heh I might be thinking too much,” Kiki said drying her hands on a towel.

She left the kitchen and went to her room. She looked for her purse and checked how much money she had left. She counted the money and decided she had enough to last for two weeks if she’d spend it carefully.

“I should wait here for a bit,” Kiki said. She looked at herself in the mirror. “Maybe…I should change outfits.” She paused looking at her reflection. “Hmmm nah there’s no need.”

She walked over to her kimono. She had it hanging up with the leaves spread out wide so it wouldn’t get wrinkled. The leaves were long but the skirt part was short as it had cut where it would cover Kiki’s knees. She wanted it that way, when she was trying on kimonos she had tried on traditional kimonos but it didn’t felt right to her so she purchase kimonos that were short. “I hope it won’t be too cold at the festival.”

Then she sat down at her desk and she took out a sketch book and pencil. She started drawing sketches of the kimono outfits she wanted to ware. She became engrossed in her work and when she looked at the time she jump out of her chair. “That long?! Xio must be waiting for me by now!” Kiki grabbed her purse and ran out of the room. She wondered where Xio could be so she figured she start at the main entry. She was at the top of the stairs when she saw Xio waiting.

“SORRY TO BE LATE!!!” Kiki huffed as she hurried to his side. “Hope…you…weren’t…waiting…long…”

“Nope not at all dear,” Xio said.

Kiki looked at him up and down noting that he changed his out. “What’s wrong?”

“Its just I haven’t seen you in something that covers your chest.” Giggled Kiki.

Xio rolled his eyes. “You saw that my jacket was torn so I needed something new. So let’s get going okay?”

“YES!” Kiki cheered as Xio extended out his arm and she latched on.

They left the mansion. As they went through the woods Kiki talked about her old home and her family. Xio nodded and smiled as he listened.

Then they made it to town. Kiki felt so happy and lively she started dancing around. She danced along the curbs and twirl along the light posts. She saw Xio smiled that made overjoyed.

She was a couple of boxes stacked up and climbed on top. She jumped twirling in mid air. Xio caught her, Kiki wrapped around him and their noses brushed together as he held her. He smiled at her and then she noticed a crowd was watching them clapping. Xio grabbed her hand and hurried away from the crowd. Kiki waved at the crowd as Xio lead her away.

“So let’s go shopping okay sweetheart?” Xio said kissing her cheek.

“Of course, I am excited to see what you get!” Kiki smiled as they head for the mall.

Then a familiar voice called out her.

“KIKI!”

Kiki stop as did Xio.

That voice! It couldn’t be… Kiki turned around slowly she felt freighted. Why… She looked around and saw her older sister and little brother; Gaia and Rally standing there holding hands and looking at her.

Kiki felt shocked but then felt emotionally happy to see them. She ran to them and hug her sister who embrace her back and Rally joined in. Kiki felt tears in her eyes. She didn’t think she would be so happy that she would cry. “Big sister…what are you doing here?” Kiki asked as they held tightly.

“We came to find you of course…you know you could have at least called home every once in awhile.”

Kiki felt a smile appear stopping her tears and let go of Gaia, Gaia still held Kiki by her shoulders and Rally had his arms wrapped around her waist. “Alright let go, I’m on a date so this is embarrassing,” Kiki murmured to them as she pried Rally’s arms from her.

“A date…” Gaia said her bright red eyes flashing towards Xio who was standing a little ways away watching them.

“Xio, please come here!” Kiki asked waving to him. Xio walked over to them.

He had a polite smile on, Kiki step aside to introduce them to Xio. “This is my big sister Gaia and my little brother Rally.”

Xio extended his hand out to Gaia first, he smiled. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet both since I have heard so many wonderful things about you both. I am Xio a Dark Luxray.”

“Yes I can see that,” Gaia said bluntly.

Kiki cringed; oh boy here we go…

“Excuse me?” Xio said sounding a bit confused. Gaia began to circle around him sizing him up.

“Gaia don’t do this again!” Rally sighed. “Kiki, she hasn’t change sorry.”

“Oh no,” Kiki moaned, “Sister please!”

“Dark Luxray is right on the money look at him.” Gaia said standing and looking at him up and down shrewdly. “His headband, his piercings, his pants and eyes. Everything about him screams badass or bad boy. He’s not right for you Kiki.”

Kiki sighed. She knew Gaia would say something like that.

“I beg your pardon miss, but that’s pretty rude of you to make up your sister’s mind.” Xio turn to Gaia with a fake smile.

“I know what’s best for her Xio.” Gaia replied crossing her arms over her chest.

That made Kiki start. She bowed her head and her hands squeezed the handled of her purse. She looked up from Gaia to Xio.

“Do you now? Is that why you are single?” He smirked at her with a shrug.

“Xio!” Kiki gasped in shock. But he turned to look at Rally who was holding back from laughing.

Kiki looked at Gaia, the Gardevoir was glaring at Xio but then her face graced with a smile as she turn to Kiki. “Well then, let’s get some lunch since I haven’t seen you in forever and Xio, please do behave yourself.” She turned and walked away before she could hear Xio’s reply. Kiki quickly followed her.

“Gaia I know your upset that I left without talking to you but please be nice to him,” Kiki begged her sister quietly as they walked side by side. She hoped Xio couldn’t hear them.

“He’s OLDER than you!” Gaia hissed at her. Kiki cringed at the vicious tone in her sister’s voice. “He has to be in his early twenties am I right?”

“Uh….” Kiki mumbled. She was afraid to answer that so she changed the subject. “You read the letter I left for you didn’t you. Did you left town because Honcho…”

“Oh don’t worry about that Honchkrow and his men. It’s taken care of.” Gaia said in a nonchalant tone but something about the look in her eyes started Kiki.

“….really?”

“Yes really you can come home if you want.”

“What?! But…really?!” This is new, thought Kiki. She even said ‘if you want.’ This means I can stay at the mansion…but there MUST be a caught. And that other thing….

“But how did this happen? Honcho’s wouldn’t let this slide unless…OH NO!” Kiki gasped gapping at her sister. “YOU SOLD YOURSELF TO HIM DIDN’T YOU—AAAH!” Kiki almost walked into the glass door at the mall’s entrance but Gaia pulled her away in time.

“You-you became his mistress didn’t you!” Kiki hissed as Gaia pulled her away into an empty outdoor sitting area away from anyone close enough to eaves drop. Kiki could see Xio and Rally were watching them confused.

“No I did not sell myself to him.” Gaia hissed at her. She held Kiki’s head and her grip was getting tighter and tighter. “I can’t believe you assume I would disgrace myself.” She glared at Kiki indignantly.

“Y-yeah well,” Kiki winced from the tight grip of Gaia’s hold of her head. “The only way you could have changed Honcho’s mind was either you did THAT or you…beat him in battle…?” Kiki said blinking and then gaped at her sister. “No freakin’ way…”

A rare dark smirk crossed Gaia’s face as she let go of Kiki. “I’ll do what I can to protect my only family.” She said stroking her little’s sister face tenderly. Kiki was to shock for words.

Gaia clear her throat and turned to Xio and Rally. “Okay let’s go in!” She grabbed Kiki’s hand and led her inside the mall. She wished to Kiki. “Honcho and his gang won’t bother you I made absolute sure of it however it’s Honcho’s son I’m worried about.” Kiki nodded mutely.

Kiki’s mind was in a daze, Xio snapped her out of it. “Kiki? Kiki.” Xio said gently shaking her shoulder.

“Wha-what?” Kiki blinked and noticed they were at the food court inside the mall. “Your sister is ordering for us…although I insisted I would pay.” He looked at closely. “Are you alright? What did your sister tell you about?”

“Uh…” Kiki said but stiffen when she felt her sister’s eyes glaring at the back of her head.

Don’t tell….

“She…she told about what happened back home…but its nothing to worry about.” Kiki said with a forced smile. “She said it was taken care of.”

Gaia came in carrying a tray of food with Rally’s help.

Kiki was handed her soda from Rally and she took a long drank. That made her a little better.

“So Kiki…Xio,” Gaia said sitting across from both of them. Kiki and Xio were sitting together and Rally sat next to Gaia. “How long have you too known each other?” She said with a disarming sweet air.
