A Small Relapse...

~*~Kaaay~ It's my turn again X3 Things are starting to move forward now, ne? =3~*~

Aberius

Shrugging my shoulders I walked on ahead of everyone back in the direction of the meeting hall, letting my nose guide me back to the lively bustle. All of them had a unique scent. There's no real no point in familiarizing myself with their unique scents since I won't be staying here much more than a week... I thought as the faint scent of ice crystals wafted across my nose. Hm... that must be Gil. I thought. It was a refreshing scent, not unlike the top of a mountain during a calm Winter day. He wasn't so bad to talk to. He seems more normal than some of the characters around here...

Before we knew it, we wound up outside the meeting hall. Just as we got there, we heard the leader announcing that the meeting was over. My hairs stood up on the back of my neck and I jumped back far from the door. The others did the same, though not as far back as I had. As soon as we had, a flood of gijinka came pouring out of the entrance. I felt a worse tingle go up my spine and took 3 more steps back and no sooner than I had, a huge blast came out and scattered the fleeing gijinka every which way. I noticed the flareon from earlier catching some of the blast since he hadn't backed up far enough and landing on his face. I feel somewhat sorry for him... That's twice now he's gotten hit by something... I noticed the little Meowth's expression light up like he had a revalation.

"Yeah!" he said. "This is where we integrate into the crowd, and Lupe-sama will never know we weren't there!"

I thought that was a pretty smart idea. However, since I don't have a place here, I figured I would just hang back in a corner and observe. I put my back to the wall in a well-shadowed area and concealed my presence in case someone was looking around. Everyone walked around, going their separate ways. A Smeargle was holding a sketchbook in his hand appearing as if he wanted to draw something, but couldn't. A Kirlia was walking around slightly dazed and blushing. Wasn't that the Kirlia that that... Xio guy was flirting with? Kiki, I think I heard... I wonder about that Xio guy... Somethings slightly off about him... Just as I thought that, I saw the other Luxray, Lux, as well as Gil and a female Houndoom gijinka. From hearing the conversation, it seemed like Lux had some special relationship with her. It also seemed like Gill was finally going to see his room. On occassion, the calm scent seemed to stir a little, threatening to turn into a snowstorm. He really wants to see his room... Guess he's not just a laid-back guy and can get riled up over some things too. I somewhat smirked at that. He's interesting, to say the least.

I looked to my right and noticed the Flareon had hung back, as well. He just looked so out of place, shaking like that. When it looked like everyone was out of the meeting hall, he darted inside. He... doesn't really have any social skills, does he...? Then again, who am I to talk? That's what Master would say. I chuckled lightly to myself when I heard a screech from what seemed to be the microphone. I covered my ears and dropped to one knee, looking up just in time to see Bibiri-kun dash down a hallway and out of sight. I stared for a moment, cleared out my ears with my finger, and stood up.

Guess I'll walk around a little... I thought as I absentmindedly let my legs carry me forward. Now, who should I talk to about getting directions to the next town...? The leader seems like the most logical choice, but I wonder if she wouldn't bite my head off just for talking to her? I scratched my head and sniffed the air. I picked up a variety of scents around the mansion and tried to single out Lupe's. That was her name, right...? She smelled like cotton and sugary cinnamon. It seemed like she was getting farther away from the mansion. The kitchen was in shambles earlier... perhaps she's going out to restock? Didn't think the leader herself would do something like that. That's admirable, then.

That was when a new smell hit me. It was a mixture of seasonings, herbs, and more distinctly... fresh meat. I felt my blood starting to boil. My body moved unconsciously toward the smell. I could feel my muscles tensing and my claws revealing themselves.

"NO...!" I screamed out and bit my arm to bring me back to my senses. Feeling the pain, I was able to run away from the smell and out the front door. I ran a ways until I couldn't smell it anymore. The cool air hit my face and I breathed it in the erase the sinuous, savory aroma from my senses. My breathing started to level out. I noticed that there was a small pond nearby and went to get a drink of water. When I leaned over the surface I could see my reflection... The white of my eyes had begun to look bloodshot. One of the symptoms of my curse... Damn it! I let it get to me because I haven't eaten enough... I can't lose control of myself... There's no one around to stop me this time. If I go out of control... I exhaled and splashed my face with cold water as I felt a familiar ache in my chest. Master... where are you...? What would you tell me to do in this situation...?

Knowing that I wasn't going to get a reply to my question, I stood up, my breathing now normal again.

"Well," I said aloud, "I guess first off I should gather some food so I can at least cope with the smell for tonight."

~*~Okays! X3 There's been a small glimpse into Aberius'... affliction... X3 I haven't even written about that in his backstory just yet, but trust me, it would be bad if he were to eat even a bite of meat. =o_o;= I was going to write a little more, and there were some things I wanted to include that I left out, but oh well, I could include them in the next post. For the time being, Ab-kun's wandering around outside until the smell of meat disperses X3~*~
