Jumping through that portal wasn’t really the brightest idea, but I had no choice since Estelle pulled me in, and yet again my mind began to rewind memories that were filling my head. The pain was aching once again and my body began to shiver. I brought one of my hands to my forehead to calm my nerves but it didn’t seem to work. As we fell I felt myself going lower than Estelle probably due to me being heavier, but as we both looked on a light appeared and seemed to get bigger every passing second. At last we finally reached the light and saw jungle below us. Sadly I knew what that meant!
In my own way I could feel my stomach toss and turned and having Estelle grabbing my neck as we fell from the sky wasn’t help nor listening to her high pitch screen. On the way down , as she continued to scream which was annoying me, I dodged some tree branches but she quickly tightened her grip around my neck which caught me off guard, leading me to fall off a tree branch and hit the ground face first with her landing on top of me again….why isn’t this a new thing?
“Are we safe to get up?” Estelle said shivering sitting up on my back. “Well I am ok since I landed on something…ahhh.” She giggled a bit.
I quickly rolled my eyes and pushed her off and stood up. “Damn it Estelle…” I put one of my fingers in my ear and began to clean it out. “Are you trying to make me go deaf or something?”
Yeah I was a bit annoyed because my ears were ringing and I already had a pain from the memories that appeared. Hell if I know what they meant but that damn screaming in my ear on the way down didn’t help.
“I’m sorry Lux-kun. I didn’t mean to….I’m just afraid of falling is all.” She said sadly as she stood up. She began to cry with those big eyes.
“Don’t you trust me? I wouldn’t let you fall!” I turned to her with my arms crossed. She was giving me the puppy dog face and gave her an evil smirk. “You are so faking it! Knock it off dork!”
“...crap...and I thought I had you!” She smirked quickly turning her frown into a smile. “Oh well at least you caught me right?”
“Yeah and guess what you give for that?” I said smirking at her. “I won’t call you Estelle-Chan anymore!”
“AWW COME ON I WAS GETTING USED TO IT!!!” She quickly ran over to me.
“Get over it!” I leaned down looking down at her and stuck my tongue out at her.
When she saw that she began to giggle and nerves had settled down since I knew she was a bit nervous already since the area seemed unfamiliar. It was very warm, a good thing I got rid of my shirt or I would be sweating up a storm.
“So do you recognize this place because I sure don’t?” I said looking around scratching my head.
“No it isn’t familiar to me either.” She too did the same looked around.
“I guess it won’t hurt if we take a look around…” I suggested pointing to a road that had been hidden by some tall grass and flowers, but once I had said that a scream was heard from a distance and both Estelle and I bolted towards where the screamed was coming from.
"Nason? .... Nason?!! Onii-san!!!" the voice was screaming in the distance.
I quickly went ahead of Estelle and jumped over a huge plant and landed in the dirt and charged up a thunderbolt, but to my surprise I found something that did not need protecting. I stood there looking down at the creature with a dumb look on my face, but then I felt Estelle bump into me nearly knocking me over. I caught myself and stood up and put my hands in my pocket and looked down at the squirming Zaishi.
“Oh no Zaishi! Zaishi are you alright?” Estelle responded and she got down on her knees and sat beside him and shook him.
“Nason! NASON!” He cried in his sleep.
“Hmmm.” I groaned as I walked over to him and looked him up and down.
“Do you have any ideas how to snap him out of this Lux-kun?” Estelle asked worriedly.
I nodded and smirked. At that moment I kicked him in the family jewels and he awoke grabbing himself.
“AHHH MY PRIDE AND JOY!!!!” Zaishi screamed in agony.
“LUX-KUN!” Estelle screamed in shock. She couldn’t believe I actually did that.
I pointed at him. “There he is awake now. You wanted me to wake him so I did.”
I stood there watching her panic over him. Geez I didn’t see the big deal, I mean pain was a way to wake up out of this madness besides I did him a favor. After some time, Zaishi got his self back together and stood up.
“I am so glad to see both of you alive. That place that being took me, he showed my greatest fears. I am not even sure if we can defeat him.” Zaishi said as he wrapped one of him around on his waist and the other holding his chin up.
“Yeah I know what you mean.” Estelle sighed kicking the dirt. “Nothing I do fazes him. I bet he is truly immortal.”
“I doubt that Estelle.” I interrupted looking at the sky. Both of them turned to me and I looked back at them with a serious look. “His debauchery does inundate us, however, he spit us all up which meant he was scared of our plight as a team. He isn’t immortal!”
Not realizing that I had reverted to my old self, a side of me I haven’t shown to many since my childhood, they both looked at me dumbfounded.
“Ummm…sorry Lux my man. But can you say that differently. Those were some pretty big words.” Zaishi chuckled. He seemed a bit embarrassed.
“Oh sorry I didn’t mean too. Ha ha ha!!” I laughed as I put one hand behind my head. God you are such an idiot Lux. You can’t go back to that. If you do, you know your consequences. Your back is a constant reminder of that. “What I meant to say was that this being isn’t immortal, but he is corrupt. His power is very much overwhelming but he was scared of what we could do as a team. We were a danger to him so that is why he split us up.”
Estelle clapped her hands in amazement. “That makes sense now. I get it!”
I sighed a little. At least she didn’t catch on. But out of the corner of my eye I saw Zaishi give me a strange look but he shook his head not sure what to think.
The sun was beginning to set in this strange realm we were in.
“We should keep moving.” I suggest as I walked off. Suddenly I felt the tug of my hand. I turned over my left shoulder and saw Estelle.
“Lux-kun I am worried about Lupe and the others.” She said leaning her head against my arm.
I wrapped my arm around her and placed my head on top of hers and replied, “Yeah and the sooner we get out of here the faster we will find them Estelle.”
“I don’t agree with you!” Snapped Zaishi. “It’s getting late and it’s dark. We should just set up camp.”
“Are you scared or something?” I turned to him with a glare. “I can feel presence of some gijinkas nearby. We should meet up with them.”
“And I am saying I don’t agree with you because how do you know they are not fakes? Huh?” He growled. By the tone of his voice, I knew he wasn’t going to abide and change his mind. Well, that is what he thought anyway. I had my ways to change his mind and make him go along with me. Estelle was going to stay by my side regardless because I promised her I would protect her. As I was thinking this out, Zaishi continued. “You are aware of what he can do right?”
“Don’t patronize me Zaishi!” I roared walking up to him and letting go of Estelle. He was already pushing my buttons. “I am aware of what he can do, but if we stick together I think we will able to tell the real gijinka’s from the fake. Do you want me to leave you here because I will do that damn it?!?”
“You wouldn’t dare! I’m not scared!” He replied crossing him arms looking me straight in the eyes.
“Tsk!” I snorted. Unknowing to him, he played right into my trap. All I had to do was play the next few scenes out and I had him in the palm of my hand. I walked back to Estelle and sighed as I got near her. I turned to Zaishi and began to shiver and pointed behind him. “ZAISHI BEHIND YOU!!! SEVIPER!!!!”
His face turned into one of fright and turned quickly. “WHAT?!? WHERE?!?!”
As he did that I grabbed Estelle under my arm and made a quick snicker and bolted off carrying her underneath my arm.
Zaishi turned back towards Estelle and I who were already some hundred feet away. “OMG WAIT YOU GUYS!!!” He too began to run towards off. “I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY DID THAT YOU JERK!!!” I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU LUX!!!” Zaishi wailed and he caught up to us.
“That was mean but at least it worked!” Giggled Estelle. “At least I am getting a free ride. Once she said that I dropped her and continued to run off. “YOU JERK LUX-KUN I WON’T FORGIVE YOU!!!”
“HAHAHAHAHA! You both are mirror images of each other!” I laughed as I continued to run through the jungle. I even whipped a few tears away because this was funny. “Besides Estelle I owed you for having you fall on me and Zaishi I knew that would get you sorry ass moving. Friends do stupid things to get the others go right?”
Both of them laughed and caught up to me. Zaishi on my right and Estelle on my left. After some time, the darkness in the jungle was getting harder to see so we began to walk and I lead the way since my eyes could see best in this sort of situation.
“I would just like to know how you knew about Sevipers though, Lux.” Zaishi asked as we walked through the twisted jungle. He leaped over a tree log and continued to talk. “I mean that is only something my species knows and doesn’t tell others about. Only a select few would know that. I also know that info is located in a rare and complex book that is only allowed to be read by the most gifted and brightest Pokémon. So how did you know it?”
I didn’t respond right away because what he said was true. There are many secrets that I am very much aware of. I know the secrets of many different species because I was one of the lucky chosen few who were chosen to have a chance to read it. Again, that side of me had shown. I couldn’t reveal to either of them my true intellect level because I feared the same response as I was given when I was a child.
“I heard it from another friend Zaishi.” I didn’t want to sound cocky or like I knew much more. Hopefully this was enough to get off the topic of the book he mentioned.
“I see.” He replied.
“You really can’t judge a book by its cover eh Lux-kun huh?” Estelle smiled as she leaped over a tall flower. “You are something else I envy you.”
“There isn’t anything to envy. You both are special in your own ways. If anything, I envy both of you.” I replied looking on towards the road we were following.
The flowers and the jungle were getting thicker as we moved on but the scent of the others was getting closer and closer. Zaishi used his slash to break down some pretty strong vines as well as some tree trunks that pretty thick. Estelle used her quick attack and climbed up a tree to report how far we were from the edge of the jungle. From her report we were only a few hundred yards away. Once we came to the edge of the jungle we walked right out of the darkness, but the strangest thing happen. The sun reappeared and we were standing on the cliff of the jungle and the ocean. There was a huge pathway that was on the cliff so all three of us decided to walk on it. I didn’t even notice that I was walking ahead of both Zaishi and Estelle whom were both staring at me from behind. At this moment, I had totally forgotten that my shirt was gone and that the scars on my back were showing.
“He really does care about his friends doesn’t he?” Zaishi whispered to Estelle as he walked at her pace right next to her. “I can tell he is a good guy. But those scars, do you know how he got them?”
“This is the first time I have ever seen them to be honest, “Estelle replied. “He has never once talked about his past to me, and possibly not to anyone.”
“Well from the looks of those scars, they have been there for a very long time. At the least 5 years.” Zaishi exclaimed. “His past must have been really ugly.”
“At least 5 years?” Estelle replied in shock looking at Zaishi. “They look like they hurt. I can’t even tell how many scars he has on his back. There must be 30, no 60, no maybe even…”
“There are exactly 103 scars on my back.” I replied walking ahead. I had pretended like I didn’t hear anything.
“I AM SORRY! I didn’t mean to gossip about you Lux-kun.” Estelle quickly said horrified and turning red from embarrassment. Zaishi too turned his face to the side out of embarrassment too.
“It is fine you two. It is only natural for people to stare at others scars.” I joked around. I didn’t want either of them to be worried. “Zaishi is correct; the scars on my back are actually over 5 years. They are actually 15 years ago. The only one that is recent is the one on my left eye. Everything else I was able to heal with potions or natural herbs.”
“15 years ago! ARE YOU SERIOUS? That would have made you 6 years old.” Zaishi said surprised stopping him in his tracks. He stood there looking at the ground. I too had stopped as well and turned towards both of them. “You were only a child Lux. That is a horrible experience that you have to carry. It really is.”
“Ahh don’t worry about it man. It was a long time ago. Besides, without those scars, I wouldn’t be as strong as I am today.” I admitted with a grin closing my eyes. “It was a lesson, a hard lesson I learned when I was a child, but now I look past it. It may be ugly but it is a constant reminder of the struggle that is all. So don’t worry about it guys!”
Once I opened my eyes, I only saw Zaishi in front of me. Then I felt the soft touch of someone’s fingers on my back. It was Estelle.
“What are you doing Estelle?” I questioned looking down at the ground again.
“So you cover them so others can see them?” She sobbed.
What why was she crying? I don’t understand this wasn’t her concern.
“LUX-KUN WHY CAN’T YOU BE MORE OPEN WITH US? DON’T YOU TRUST US? AREN’T WE FAMILY?” She uttered jabbing her head quickly into my back.
Family? I haven’t had a family since I was a child. They were all killed off. If I stayed with these people, like Estelle, Zaishi, Hoom, Hon, Lupe, or whoever, they too probably would end up killed. I don’t want that. Yet Estelle insists to know more about me. Does she truly care about me? Even that day, when I first kissed her, I have had memories of a past with and Eevee. I guess it was her. I want to open up to them I really do. Just…the time isn’t right yet.
I looked up and was given a smile by Zaishi who was resting one of his arms on his waist while the hung on the side of his body. I smiled back at him and turned to face Estelle gently grabbing her by her shoulders.
“Estelle?”
“Yes.” She sniffed.
“Let’s make a promise. When we get out of here, I promise to tell everyone of my past. Will that by okay?” I said looking at her softly.
She smiled and nodded. “Alright!” We embraced each other with a hug.
That was the Estelle I knew and loved. I felt the slight touch of another’s hand on my shoulder and turned to Zaishi was balling.
“That was so romantic and sweet! You two are adorable!” He cried.
Both Estelle looked at each other with a grin and looked at him and laughed.
“What? Why are you laughing?” Asked Zaishi with a confused look on his face.
Estelle began to walk along the cliff and I followed shortly after her while Zaishi and I walked side by side.
“I smell them!” Exclaimed Estelle pointing to the distance, jumping up and down like she usually did as she got excited. “It smells like Lee. Oh and Hoom too!”
I was surprised but at the same time relieved to know both of them were safe. I knew Lee was a good fighter from what he told me at the ball since he was a master at a dojo. He was very interesting. But what worried me was Hoom and the ocean. Fire types hate water. I just hoped for the best since Lee was with her.
Suddenly, I was stopped in my tracks and was frozen. I couldn’t move and Estelle and Zaishi continued to walk on. It was like they didn’t even notice. I began gasping for air. I looked around and saw nothing but saw a nearby rock. I was able to break free and kick it enough to have it hit the back of Estelle’s leg.
“Hey what did you do…” She stopped at the sight of me grabbing my neck and gasping for air. Zaishi too turned around in shock. “LUX!”
Both of them were about to run towards me but they too were stopped. The being caught them and kept them standing but brought me to my knees. I was able to breathe once again but unable to talk. The dark figure came out of the shadows and stood before me placing his hand on my forehead.
“Let him go! Don’t touch him!” Screamed Estelle in panic who was also struggling to break free.
He walked over to me leaning over me to prove he was greater than I was. “That was some stunt you pulled back there.” He remarked looking down at me. “You will now pay dearly for that. With your life!”
I smirked at him. “Oh really?”
He stumbled for a moment which gave me the chance to break free. He let his guard down and I attacked him. He dodged my blows with blocking my punches and my kicks. At one point I kicked him across the ground and he did a back flip and stood up unharmed. Yeah my chances were already slim.
“ESTELLE! ZAISHI! GET OUT OF …”
“They aren’t going anywhere.” The dark being said holding his hand out keeping them in their frozen states as they watched in horror. “They are about to witness the best part. Your death!”
He snapped his fingers and I felt pain go throughout my entire body. It was like the last time when I lost control to of myself to that dark side. I began screaming in pain.
“NOW DIE!” He shouted as he once again snapped his fingers.
It felt like a bullet hit my head and blood flew everywhere. I was looking at Estelle who was screaming yet I didn’t hear anything coming out of her mouth. I slowly turned my eyes to Zaishi who was horrified with the scene. I fell to my knees and fell face flat in the dirt.
The being walked over to me and kicked me over onto my back looking at me. I could barely see him, everything was a blur.
“You aren’t the average Luxray are you?” He muttered to himself.
“LUX LUX!” Cried Estelle. She struggled to move from her position.
“SHUT UP GIRL!” The being said as he let go of them both. Both Zaishi and Estelle too fell to their knees in tears. “He isn’t dead and I won’t kill someone who is equivalent to me in intelligence.” He turned his attention back to me as I lied there looking up at him. “He blocked my last attack with a small amount of static electricity which was more than enough to keep him alive. Humph. What a foolish brat you are Luxray? I will let you live for now with your friends, but your battle has only begun.”
He kneeled beside me and leaned in and whispered into my ear something that neither Zaishi nor Estelle could hear. “You blocking that last probably will now awaken those dormant memories. I wonder if you will survive the memories of the past in this realm since they become very powerful. Hmm, that is up to you Luxy boy. Good luck…”
He chuckled and looks back at Estelle and Zaishi with a devilish smile and faded away into nothing.
Estelle quickly ran to me and pulled me up into her lap. Zaishi rushed to her aide and sat on the other side of me.
“Hang in there Lux. You will be okay.” Zaishi insisted quickly trying to stop the bleeding from my head.
“Stay with me!” Estelle cried grabbing my hand tight.
I still couldn’t hear them and I wasn’t able to read their lips. My eyelids were getting heavy and my breathing was getting slower. I saw flashes in the back of my mind and someone was calling my name. My grip with Estelle’s hand was getting weaker. I couldn’t help it I was so tired and weak. I just wanted to escape from the pain I was feeling…I was dying and I knew it. Than scenes appeared one by one and began flickering in the back of my mind. What was this? Than it went dark and I felt nothing…

@_@ There 7 pages and you just read 3,836 words! Gah and sorry about spelling it is late here! Okay so I plan on working on Lux’s memories so whoever updates Hoom, Lee, or Estelle please keep him sleeping. You can just carry his lame ass lol.
